I just picked up this truck for $150 on sale, I did it cuz I already had in stock everything I needed to convert it to a brushless system. I did spend $19 on a slip eliminator because I wanted to switch to mod-1 gears cuz I have a boat load of them vs the mod 0.8 (32Pitch). I Put in a Hobbywing eZrun 2200kv motor with a castle MMX 6S ESC, swapped out the Servo to a higher torque from a 1/8" scale Losi 8ight nitro buggy I used to have, radiolink receiver so I can pair it to my Radiolink RCG6S controller with range booster installed. geared it 19T/36T, running on a 4S CHNL racing 4S2P series 8000mah/120C lipo. Did 58mph on a high school parking lot. Gearing calculator said 60mph at 100% efficiency. This thing rips lol, 0 to 35mph in 1.65 seconds.Now I need new tires !!😂😂😂
Holy cow! That is insane I might have to do that to mine! I am going to make mine brushless eventually but now I want to do all of that😂 Do u have problems with it breaking or is it still pretty much indestructible?
@@traxrc lol, well... I haven't crashed yet, a small encounter with the curb while trying to stop but nothing major. I have experience with my Limitless & Typhon 6S when it comes to crashes, worst crash case was with my limitless, 76mph, 96mph & 127mph. It was the last crash at 96 that finally bent the chassis lol. But repairs on all 3 were minimal. The Typhon, that thing is a freaking tank 😂. Running on 6S & speed bashing at speeds up to mid-70s with it I crashed sooo many times & walked away with no damage. The few times I did break something, it was very minor like a-arm or a bent shock tower. So I'm hoping this new truck will at least holds up to some minor rollovers & crashes lol. We'll see, I'm about to switch the tires to GRPs since I have a ton of them that I can't use for high speedruns anymore. Keep'm Fast Bro! 😎 👍
Same bro! I bought as a gift to myself as July was my birthday month😂. I got it at my crib in like 2 & 1/2 days. Disassembled it immediately! And decked it out with stickers, drawings, and protective film for the belly(if that’s even necessary). Overall a great steal for the price. Legit paid like $168 total or sum
And question, I’ve been motor and esc shopping for this car still and today, as I just got paid will spend some cash on the boost system and my own esc and motor combo. Is the hobbywing motor sensored. Or all motors theses size don’t need them. I would really like to spend money on something completely quality to put in this car. Then a Nissan body. But please any suggestions..
How's the combo been holding up long term? (Well last five months if you can call that long term 😅) I'm really tempted to get this combo for my senton :)
