Thanks!! We didn't switch out the springs on our suspension. We are currently running the ICON stage 1 lift kit. After adding the bumper and winch we adjusted the front a little to make up for the added weight. As far as adding a bumper to your stock TRD Pro...I'm sure the fox suspension would perform better than the standard suspension but it's still going to sag from the extra weight, the question is how much.

We have OEM style switches that go right in the dash vs having to drill a hole for the generic style switches they normally come with. In this install we hooked it up to our switch panel which makes it super easy.

I would recommend upgrading the front suspension and getting a stiffer spring for the weight. Bilstein 6112 would be a nice option.

Correct, you don't need to use those switches. You can Take the wires off the Baja switch and put them on to an OEM style switch. You will need 2 switches though if you want to run the light bar and the backlighting separately.

Hey Joseph. Off the top of my head I cant remember all the tools used. I would just start with the basics. 10,12,14,17,19mm. Something to cut the bumper with. And maybe a jack to help you get it lifted and installed.

@@yotaxpedition Dremel acquired and viper cut already done. Ordering the covers from your Amazon link probably today. Have a jack as well and most if not all of those sockets, I think. I'll probably end up watching 2 or 3 more times before I dive in. I'll make notes as I watch. Recommend touque wrench?

Torque wrench is not needed but it depends how specific you want to get with your tightening

The bumper from C4 comes raw and will need to be painted or powdercoated.

The stock 4Runner suspension is pretty soft to begin with. I would suggest upgrading the front suspension.

@@yotaxpedition what do you think it the best lift for the front to get it back to stock height with the added weight? 650lbs 700lbs? name brand?

Bilstein 5100 is a good option. Its adjustable, so you can put it at the lowest setting to keep it closer to stock. And for the springs I would go with OME 2885 or 2887. Your next option from there is the Bilstein 6112s. They're a bit beefier and come with springs already. Check out our website for some options and if you don't see something you want just shoot us an email and we can probably get it.

Would this be the recommendation for TRD Pro with the fox shocks or can they handle the weight of bumper and warn winch

I bolted it back down in the factory location with the line on top of the control box for the winch

@yotaxpedition I'm about to install the same bumper but with the high bull bar and winch. I'm gonna try to find a way to keep my ss3 pod lights behind the grille using a universal mount. Wish me luck!

A lot of bumpers come that way. Or give you the option if you want it powder coated but obviously adds cost. Not sure why C4 doesn't offer that option. That's something we would like to offer for C4 products if ordered through us.

Every vehicle has foam in the bumpers to help with crash impact.
