Grab your chain HERE: www.amazon.com/...
This one might be a few links long (I needed 104 links for my bike, but measure yours to be sure. The chain width that fit my Ducati 2006 S2r 800 was 525)
Get THIS tool to help you out SIGNIFICANTLY: www.amazon.com/...
As always, let me know if you have any questions or if these links stop working.

This video will show you everything you need to know about installing a new chain on your Ducati S2R 800. Everything from chain length, to chain width, to chain tension. It is all right here. It took me awhile to research all the different aspects of chain installation (I guess not many Ducati Owners like to work on their own bikes?) But here is everything you need in one place.

thanks man. I just bought a new Ducati and I'm putting on a brand new chain and adjusting the timing And I'm fixing the screen in a galaxy s5 again for the 3rd time and I'm about to buy another 4runner and it needs new headlights. and your channel has had videos on All 3! Lol. it's the one stop shop for all my needs. I used your video once for fixing a galaxy s5 and subscribed back then and then when searching for a video to help me with working on my new Ducati I came across your channel again and figured I couldn't go wrong since I knew your videos ate concise. so thanks for like the 5th video tutorial on a row.

+Taurian Nye This is great! I'm glad that I could help out. Ducatis are awesome. People really respect the brand. I get strangers all the time complimenting the ride. Hopefully I'll have some more videos for you in the future!

Hey lol I guess there's no point telling you to slow down but man you've got more helpful videos in one place than anyone I've ever seen. So bravo and keep kicking ass. I just got the Ducati and I'm either going to trade an 85 VW WESTFALIA for a 2016 Toyota 4 Runner or Range Rover or keep it and get an old 2000 4runner gold sr5 that has foggy headlights. I've had 2 4runners already an 85 and a 99. So I'm kind of bored with them now but they've been good to me soooooooooo I might stick with the brand and maybe get a land cruiser and lift it up a few inches since it has room to hold the motorcycle in. So there's no rush in more videos man I'm pretty content with what I've got now and the videos you've already made. I'm just getting to know my bike intimately and putting on the new chain and lubing it. And I'll check out your video on projects for your motorcycle under $50 bucks next. I think it's titled something like that. I have to finish this phone first then I can get back out and play with my bike. So I'll probably be watching your videos all day.

too tight also can blow yourball bearing in the crank case that sits around your front sprocket. it happened to me after a service at the dealership. blew the ball bearing out of the case, threw the crank out of alignment and lost all my oil. engine still sits like that today. happened on my 01 m750.

I ride 10-15,000mile/yr so I Always put New Sprockets on at the same time. Unlike most Ducati owners I actually Ride my bike...Daily.

Hey, I'm having trouble getting my old chain off the the front sprocket. How did you do that?

Hi Jerry, great video. You should do a video on sprocket change out as well, but in any case is it possible to do a rear sprocket chain with the stand you have in this video? I have the same stand but can't figure out how I can mount it to the tire side so i can get at the sprocket.

Great Vid. What bike stand are you using?

Hi Jerry. Nice video. I had a question: Don't you have to change the sprocket with the chain. I have a S2R 1000. Is the measurement different than your bike? Amadeo:)

+Amad Kashif You dont HAVE to change the sprocket with your chain. Usually the sprocket will last much longer than your chain will. I'm not sure on the length though. Good luck!

check your teeth on the sprocket. if theyve been worn down to a point, its time to change the part. aluminum ones will wear faster than the steel ones.

the actual position on the chain at which you measure was not absolutely clear in the manual.. i.e. do you measure 30mm of movement using a fixed point e.g. the link centre, or the top and bottom of the chain, there is a big difference between the results of the two. you measured from the top face of the chain for both upper and lower readings so i assume this is 100% correct ?

In Sydney Ya, I measured from the same point on the chain for both measurements.

Hello, I don't know if you still pay attention to this but I don't see the link for the spanner wrench. I see one for the chain breaker and I see one for a chain but not for the spanner, do you happen to be able to point me to which one to get?? Thanks!

In the vid it looks like your exhaust is still on the motorcycle while the tire is removed?:)
@JerryRigEverything

maarten10100 Just the bottom part of the exhaust. The actual pipes are what I removed in order to get the tire on and off.
