I never would have thoughht of replacing my steering wheel. I always just bought a leather / vinyl wrap that made the wheel much thicker and easier to grip. But I'm now considering this upgrade... spending so much money upgrading my 2015 F150, but also love mine!
You should look at doing the seats. Katzkin makes a great leather kit for that truck. Did my truck and with no experience or special tools had it done in about 6 hours and looks great very factory looking.
katzkin is the brand the dealership uses. I've had mine for about 2 years and it's still in great shape (with exception of the driver's side bottom bolster, but that's very common to deform).
@@kylegeldmaker I replaced the drivers bottom seat foam with new OEM foam at the time of installation. Only cost like $60 and keeps the new seat bolster from prematurely wearing out.
Had the same steering wheel on my Mustang S550 very good quality product will be doing the same for my 18 F150 and looks alot easier than the Mustang taking apart everything
I Thank You, for the video. The middle of October 2023, I picked up a 2016 f150 XLT 4X4. And Doing some minor upgrades. ( I hate you. "LOL" ) Now I'm thinking at changing out the steering wheel. Does in come in Any other colors also, instead of Red? I Love The Look Though!! " I Do Love The Look"!!
My apologies haha. It does not come in any other color, but I recommend doing this wheel instead ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6Xye9WcFdpE.htmlsi=p6J8oibky7LlJ-T5 This one in the video ending up not fairing well over time.
I ordered one for my STi a couple of days ago. The seller said that it is microfiber leather. It’s some kind of synthetic leather that will hold up better than genuine leather.
this wheel looks super rad, a little to aggressive of a shape for me. the paddles are also able to be wired up to the manual gear selection on my 2018 10spd, so i think i’m going stock raptor wheel route myself.
I noticed you said something about hitting your leg on the steering wheel jump in and out. Did this new wheel help at all I see it’s thicker. Wondering about that side of things? Thanks
There’s only one way to put it on since there are two pins on other side of the hub. When removing, just making sure you keep the wheel straight and put the new one on the same way.
I ended up getting rid of this one and changed it due to the material failing. Here is the updated video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6Xye9WcFdpE.html
Not sure but the customer service was terrible. They basically told me to take a hike. Ended up purchasing the Factionfab wheel and much happier with it overall. Holding up better and feels better overall.
