Why didn't you score the ferrule with a razor blade like in your other install videos? Just asking out of curiosity since i recently got a lathe from mid America.

I wanted to try skipping that step in order to save to life of the ferrule. The tip did stay on this shaft, but I have already had trouble with some other tips staying on. From my personal experience, I will no longer skip this step. Congratulations on the lathe! Thanks for commenting!

Where did you pick up that tip holder?

And the plastic tip shaper? I just bought a Cue Smith and I need to find the tools to do tips.

The tip holder is just a live center with interchangeable tips. I use the concave tip to center the tips naturally. I purchased it on Amazon. Here is the link : a.co/d/0d83Plo

@theaveragejoebody The tip shaper is just something I designed, and 3d printed. Congratulations on your new cue lathe!
