Installing a True Bypass Module Into A Vox Wah 

Cool video, I just found this and plan on trying it! Is it possible to install an LED on this style pedal? Where would it connect to the switch and board?

do I need to solder the resistor on the board or can I solder it into the wires, like the brown and the green to the purple?

Really I need the resistor to installing a true bypass into a vox wah or no ? because i think that it is necessary for other mod, like volume gain and bass gain or tone
