I am an engineer, and trainer, machine designer. I have to say that this gentlemans demonstration, and explanation is EXCELLENT. Easy, Concise, Informative.

Great video, thank-you! Those red plastic shipping tabs were kind of a mystery to me. This video helped me understand how they work and fit on the scale. I need to do some maintenance on my mill, but have been putting if off, because I did not know how the glass scales went on and off, This was a huge help to me and is greatly appreciated!

Thanks again Jon for the help. Got it installed today and remembered to remove those "$600 pieces of plastic" this time.

The X & Y are no brainers.... Where is a video on the Z? Now that one is a real head scratcher!
@HWMachRepair
@HWMachRepair 4 года назад
You would think that they are no brainers, but yet people still manage to mess it up every day and then complain about how their system doesn't work. Jon wants to do one for both the knee and the quill, now it's just finding the time and having a machine available to do it.

@@HWMachRepair Any update on getting a knee DRO install video? I just got that whole setup from you guys and will be installing in a couple weeks.

@@_GrindByDesign We have one filmed, the problem is that Jon filmed it before he died and his wife is the one who makes the videos. She is just finding it hard to make that particular video at the moment.

Wonderfully done video. What are those two magnets that set under the table called?
@HWMachRepair
@HWMachRepair 9 месяцев назад
Those are Mighty Mags. We are in the process of getting them on the website, but don't have them on there yet. They are made for indicators, but work perfect for this application.

Thank you, great video. Which way should the two seal strips in the scale be installed? The two sides of the seal are not identical, if you know what I mean.
@HWMachRepair
@HWMachRepair 3 года назад
There is going to be one side of the seal that has more of a taper than the other. You want the taper parts on both sides to be facing each other. It's hard to explain like this so if you want to give us a call please do: 1-800-285-5271

I have a Millmate hDRO head. I just replaced my acurite sensor on X. Y is working fine. X won't seem to work at all but if I swap with Y that read out works just fine. I used the red holders like you did but still no read out. What would you suggest?
@HWMachRepair
@HWMachRepair 4 года назад
Hi Rodney, If you had the original scale and replaced it with an SENC-150, you will also need an interface cable. The MillMate used a different signal than the TTL signal the SENC150 sends. The interface cable is in the link below, part number 683201-04. www.machinerypartsdepot.com/store/1478157/page/759632 You can also give me a call and we can troubleshoot it over the phone 1-800-285-5271 -Jon

That's not a heli- coil ,it's a keensert.
