Installing an additional USB socket in a MOTORHOME

In order to recharge and power our projector at the back of the van, I set about installing two new USB sockets.
It didn't all go to plan as you'll see but I learned where our fuses were!
In the end, everything works well. I used
- some simple t-connectors: amzn.to/3tGv8YV
- this flush faceplate: amzn.to/3hCjJVf

Good video- I’ve done some of the same jobs in my motorhome as you already (usb sockets,WiFi ) but I still find it useful to watch and maybe pick up tips for next time.

A really informative video - thanks! I've a Fiat Ducato Swift motorhome. I was wondering how you knew what awg rating of 12v wire to go for? I'm not into electrics so I don't know if this is vitally important tbh. Any advice would be appreciated mate.

great stuff, i've bought the sockets for mine but haven't got round to wiring them in, was meant to be this week but my cold has got the better of me. quick question though, did you just snap of the rotating covers that are over the sockets?

Yeah, they're pretty flimsy. I might have cut them with some snips but they came off easily

You might be right. I didn't end up using any additional wire so I was simply using what was already connected to the socket

Nice video. :-) Which screen and projector are you using? Are you connecting it with any other device (laptop, tablet, ...) ? How do you remove (roll it up?) the screen when not in use? Thanks in advance for the info.
