Installing an AR15 Stock On A B&T APC223 & APC308

In this video I share one of my absolutely favorite features of the B&T APC line of sub guns and rifles; compatibility with your favorite AR stock, and the awesome totally adjustable fixed stock that I use on all my competition rifles: The TacMod by KFS Industries!
One of the things I absolutely love about B&T rifle design is their ability to innovate without forcing unnecessary proprietary inconvenience when it comes to after market components and accessories. As demonstrated in my previous video:
1) All of the B&T APC line of rifles and sub guns are compatible with AR style mil-spec triggers. (If you haven't yet, check out my experience installing an Elftmann Tactical Match Pro SE flat trigger in both an APC223 and APC308 here • Video
2) All models of sub guns and rifles in the APC line imported into the US come with a hinge plate that contains an AR buffer tube adapter. That's right! you can use your favorite AR stock with your B&T rifle and not have to worry about limited brand-specific choices that are limited in supply and high in cost.
3) Select sub guns and rifles in the APC line are compatible with M4 / AR style grips, and can be changed out for your favorite grip as well. More on this topic in an up-coming video soon, but it is a feature that is growing across the entire line of these Swiss beauties.

Wow, being in canada and not getting that extra back plate is turning into a massive pain in the ass. I reached out to BT and hopefully they are going to be able to help me through their Canadian distributor. Otherwise you can spent like 250 to get a adaptor that means it can't fold anymore

Canadian dealers work directly with Switzerland, and I believe the buffer tube adapter is an B&T USA thing.

@@SeanGoBoom I did manage to find someone who would bring in the buffer tube adapter plate. B&T suggested it, just hoping he knew it was for the 223, as it seems to be labelled as for the pistol calibre versions. Fingers crossed all the hinge dimensions are the same between rifles.

Yes exactly! My folding stock is too short and the fully adjustable optional stock adjusts to the same length as the folding stock !!!

Hey Sean, I know this is not the right video to leave this question on but I just happened to be watching this one at the time that I heard you say to leave a comment with any B&T questions we might have, so it's happening here. Never owned a B&T before but after much discussing and influencing from friends and fellow shooters I have decided to jump into this market and find myself my first B&T. I have settled on the APC9 Pro since I don't own any PCC yet and frankly think that B&T's offerings are heads above the rest out there. My problem comes in the form of which APC9 Pro to get though. I just can't make any headway in choosing between the standard and the K models. Every friend I have owns a K and swear that the shorter a subgun is the better it is, but I can't help but wonder if more real estate for the support hand is better then less. If I had access to both offerings I would imagine it would be possible to form my own conclusion here but sadly none of the local gun shops are carrying a B&T. Got any thoughts or words of wisdom for a first time B&T buyer before they take the plunge?

With the slightly longer standard size APC9 you’re going to get a flatter shooting gun with less muzzle flip, and you’ll be able to shoot out to farther distances with less hold over because you’ll have about 200 fps more muzzle velocity on your ammo. As far as holding it and operating it, I compete with the standard size model. I grip around the front of the mag well so real estate out front isn’t really an issue. I wouldn’t compete with the K model though. I can shoot the other faster for reasons mentioned above.

@@SeanGoBoom I have to thank you for the input. I think with your stated reasons and there being no sizable difference in the ability to shrink it down to a tiny package with the collapsible stock option I'm going to go with the standard model. I don't think there will be any downsides to this choice. Thanks again for the help. Can't express how cool it is that you actually take the time to reply to all the messages on your videos. Coolest pro I have ever seen.

Looks sweet. Just made my 1st B&T purchase of the apc9 pro. Can you tell me off hand if you can put any AR trigger in it? Im considering the Geissele SSA-E or the SD-3G.

Do you run the APC 223 sport in your competitions? What do you think of the APC 223 pistol? I’m torn between whether to buy the pistol or the sport.

The "pistol" is the exact same gun as the 16" rifle. Just a shorter barre and handguard. The net effect is going to be a difference in muzzle velocity. They are just different tools for different applications. Both are great guns and I have both of them in my safe depending on the type of shooting I plan to do.

You can't fold the stock when you have this endplate attached.

Sean, I have an APC308 that I’m trying to mount an AR stock to. I’m not understanding where to screw in the buffer tube. Is there an addition piece to purchase? Thanks.

I'll attempt to make a better video demonstrating that part. All APC line products sold in the USA have the buffer tube back plate.

@@SeanGoBoom Hi Sean, thanks for responding. I spoke to B&T in Florida and they said that my dealer must have made a crack deal and received the weapon with a brace and without the adapter, that should supposedly come with anyway. I ordered the adapter from B&T and am now awaiting fulfillment, as is the case with most firearm related booty these days. Thanks again.
