Thank you so much for explaining how the ends slide together! It's my first time doing a project like this and you saved me. Takes some patience because it is a little tricky, but it looks good so far.

The way you are using 2 patterns is actually wrong. The instructions specifically say not to stair step that way. You should take the piece that you cut off and use that as the first piece on the next row. If it too small you can cut a random length, but your end result of this pattern actually decreases the integrity of the floor (according to the instructions). This video is a year old, so I am curious how it has held up?

Floors holding up well. We’ve installed the same floor in another room (bathroom) with the same pattern shortly thereafter in a higher usage and have not noticed any issues in wear. Thanks for the comment!

Oh my god that was painful to watch. Bruh is that really how you’ve been installing “many many times?” Dang bro 😬 You’ve inspired me to make a video for people to learn the right way, the pain free and rational way, the carpenter way. There’s a lot wrong here but I’ll just mention a couple things: use a damn speed square for cutting planks to length! That’s a no brainier. And mix up the lengths so you don’t have your joints all line up like that, it looks terrible. And when you get to the end of a run, take the last plank and spin it around, put the factory end (the end which will snap into the end of the run) and set it against the wall, back like a quarter inch (or 1/8 in it doesn’t have to be exact 🥸 the trim hides the cut ends dude) then mark the plank where it overlaps the end of the last piece you installed. Now spin it back around, cut it and install. Then use the cut off portion, if it’s at least eight inches long, for the starter off your next row. Dude no wonder you have so much wasted “scrap” material. You should only have maybe 5 percent scrap, if that!

I just wasted a whole box of this crap trying to get the ends to lock properly. I was hoping to get some info from the comment section. I'm finding it impossible to get these planks to either lock together end to end or getting the sides to snap in once I get a run together. My opinion is its just crap. I would not recommend this stuff.

It’s different than any interlocking I’ve used before. You have to slide in plank on the right from the bottom or the top of the plank on the left. I ruined a few as well my first row.

I just bought 60 boxes and this shit is garbage, I wish I would of seen this video before. $1.99 SF, I have used cheaper flooring with better results.
