Shop Dirt Perfect www.dirtperfect1.com/shop We used the cat dozer and loader gmc c8500 and John Deere tractor go place and compact asphalt Millings at the derby market. #dirtperfect #asphaltmillings #parkinglotimprovmemts
Mike I love your idea of putting new rock in front of the pole we had the same problem in Louisiana people don't know where the front of their car is lol
Discovered your channel @6mo ago. Did some binge watching and really enjoy watching. So from the old teacher, in central WI, am learning alot and keep up the good work👍
Nice work, that old quarry stone goes down hard when you want to shift it 🤣. Can’t Believe Kleeman Crashed the Drone !!! 😂😂😂 I might have missed it but what was the reason to change the stone out for the millings ?
As a fellow drone pilot, I was thinking those drone shots going sideways around the backside of the store are pretty gutsy, a risk only taken by someone not owning the drone. I was impressed until hitting the sign, actually laughed out loud. Keep up the good work guys. Thanks, Dave from Oregon
Great job Mr Dirt enjoyed the drone shots. I would like to know what drone you have there . I'm thinking about getting one and that one seems to operate real good. Enjoyed the whole video and good idea on the rocks stay safe
I just had to go on Google Earth and check out that area back when y'all did the field tile job for Farmer Chris by that water tower. Absolutely beautiful area you guys live in. And here I thought the one traffic light farm town I grew up in up in Michigan was small. The Market looks like it's the biggest business in Derby.
Nice job! And nary a sweet potato vine was harmed in the making of this video! Helpful hint... to move the forks easily. With them level and a few inches above ground... from the outside... Lift the lock, put your foot above the center of the vertical portion and shove. Even if they are dry, they’ll slide easily. I used to train forklift ops.
Just catching up on some of everyone's older vids... Isn't it funny how trucks and equipment will tell on the operator/driver? lol I like going back and seeing how things evolve. That's one of the few places I haven't been there on that side of the river over the years but maybe it was the sixth-sense telling me to avoid those huuuuge "mosquitoes" the size of birds??? lol
Looks real good fellas!👍👍 I was like he ain’t doin too bad for not flying a drone before, and then he came around the front of the store and I was thinking , ain’t there a pole out there, and WHAM , it hit the ground!! Unfortunately, a drone WAS HURT, in the making of this video!😳😬🤦🏻♂️😂😂
I think you need to change your channel name to Asphalt/Dirt Perfect! Great job guys, a fun video to watch Mike, great job BOSS! Enjoy your weekend, work safe always. Doug@ the "ranch"
Great Job! I agree the Kubota would of been perfect for this job, especially up against the concrete!! Is it doing any better on fuel with new injectors ??
Kubotas are way to jerky for fine grading ...Bobcat is the best grading machine I've ran ..I can level house pads within a 1/2 inch with just a four in one bucket and grade rod
Have him tip the forks down next time it will make it easier for you to slide them great video thanks for sharing have a great day and stay safe out there
magic word s plate packer, or smooth drum roller, wheel roll omg dude planet perfect far away ahahha, glad u like it , ur still fun contracter, + niice driver saves the the day lol , inspector grading and base , plus litttle H2O ? , really needs to be tighter = compacted smooth drum
I must say, that was a Jerry good video! I think your on to something? Everybody related to anybody that has watched this, dare I say it, is going to be saying this phrase, and I bet it goes into Funk and Wagnels dictionary of most said phrases of all time!!! 😁😁😁😁😁👍👍👍👍👍 Showing my age with Laugh In! That was a comedy t. v show, years ago.
I made a comment on the Captain's channel that Mike tends to flirt with disaster. Watching the drone fly around the building at low level just missing the tanks, and then the loader, I was thinking we are going to see a crash mighty soon, and it didn't look like the guy in the white t-shirt was holding the controller... Perhaps panning shots with the camera perpendicular to the drone's direction are not a good idea. Least ways not with Mike at the controls. It made for a funny video though. Especially when Kleeman opened the case and stepped back expectantly - he's a very funny guy.
was at the world famous derby market last summer ,do you have gas without ethanol? are the tree,s turning yet ? does the asphalt millings make tighter base ?good drone view
Looks like the 10' on the other side of the pumps needs millings. Now fess up you were flying the drone. I could tell you were looking at the controller and Kleeman was looking at the drone. LOL I saw a drone today on RU-vid called the Blade 720 that is only $100 does as much as the Spark.
Mike, it's been over a year since you put the millings on the parking lot. How is it holding up? and the same with your driveway at home? We've had good results from using it but some situations it hasn't worked out. Township but them on a gravel road but it wasn't ground up good so made a mess to start and now they can't grade it because parts got hard. They destroyed that road just trying to control dust for a few folks that don't like it, yet they live on a gravel road.
only just come across this :-) over here in the UK you would have had the Authorities on you like a ton of Bricks lol 1. Your work area not fenced to keep the public out of job site 2. Highway first you have to be qualified and certified to work alongside the highway 3. to have the plant work that close to the highway would have had to have traffic management either half of the lane closed if not full lane closed. 4. to do the drive in as secondary thought! that's a No No, you would need at least 6 weeks giving highways details as what you were doing and that if they gave you permission, and 3 would have been insisted on. 5. No PPE (personal protective equipment) minium hard hat, hi viz, safety glasses, gloves, and steel toe cap boots. over here if you get caught without that job would be shut down, you get fined and the company gets a hefty fine and then put on watch list to make sure you comply in future. I notice alot on other channels have roll bar on machinery either laid flat or removed another Big NO No! if its fitted it has to be used, big fines. You are lucky to be able to do what you can over in the USA, a simple job like that would take at least 2-3 months planning if things when well before you even got plant to site, but nice job though.
This popped up and realized I missed it last year. Capt. Kalamatiy has always been dangerous...Killed a rock and a sign in this one.. Sure would like to see the inside of the Derby market. Maybe the menu so maybe help me druel?
I was about to ask if kleeman could do a drone flying tutorial... until I saw the end.... he flys like I do. Kleeman do you have any tip on how to get them out of trees?
Ben Hogan ... Millings are ground up asphalt. Similar to the driveway patch you can buy in bags. They work similar to gravel but once compacted and the sun hits them, they become nearly as stable as hot mix asphalt again.
Thanks for the video. This was the Friday before Labor Day and where were the Derby Market's customers? The place was empty, can they stay in business with that little traffic?
I know it’s a few years ago video. I came over from Clint’s c&c channel month or so ago. I watched all of his videos.😅😂 I needed something different to watch. Is the Derby market something your mom owns. Or is it a family owned store? Seen the video with dragline and flag that mom didn’t want to let you park out front 🤷🏻♂️😂
I am a firm believer in using asphalt millings for sure. Yet... My thought process is to use them to provide a better base for compaction. Most of this parking lot looked like it had good compaction with the gravel mix already in place. What is your thought process for removing the gravel to replace it with asphalt millings?
Michael Johnson there are several, but a couple are that it helps keep the dust down and makes a much nicer entrance for motorcycle riders who come by. Also, circumstance, they were milling the HWY in town.
Time to get a skydio then you can have it follow you and not crash into stuff doing 35 mph without being at the controls just keep the controls on you and it will take off and land on it's own
