Nice video , me & my son have a 89 RS that I changed into a IROC , the factory brakes really suck on these cars , when I upgraded the brakes on mine (Z28 special performance options ) twin piston calipers on the front & disc on the rear if you want stop on a dime this package will do it !
thanks a lot , and wow sounds like a nice upgrade . I'll be changing my rear drums soon once i find a Good rear disc brake conversion kit in my price range . stay tuned in for that video
@@EprofitdetroitTheProcess A very good friend of mine got me started on these cars (at one time he had 6 IROCS from 86 to 91) but he got real sick & had to sell them for the front brakes its 1991 Z28 special performance options the rear brakes are 2000 Z28 you will need the valve under the master cylinder too , I've had the car for almost 20 years I have every receipt for every part I put on that car ,so if you need more info let me know !
did you watch the full video ? and I understand what directional is, ITS KIND OF HARD TO GET WRONG! Especially when each rotor comes labeled with a sticker that says driver side and passenger side 🤷🏾♂️ but thank you for your comment !
@@EprofitdetroitTheProcess Didn't see the stickers, just noticed the slots, straight vanes it really doesn't matter, I know power stop says the "wrong" way even on the website, but Wilwood says the other way, I trust Wilwood, hahaha Car looks good though, check out my 89 Camaro I'm restoring @droptop604 on IG, I'm going 14" C7/Gen VI Camaro brakes up front and 1LE 12" PBR's out back
This my next move on my 3rd gen new calipers and rotors was thinking about doing Wilwood or Brembo breaks but something like this will work fine for me and I can save a lot of money to do something else to the car
that's what i was going to say, especially since you buy and flip, i wouldn't waste the money ... wilwood brake systems be like $800 to $1500... i only paid $300-400 for my upgrade . All people really care about is the red calipers lol but my car stops alot better now so im very satisfied with my choice..
yes those brakes were a basic oem upgrade for Camaro's that i picked up from summit racing for i believe around $300-$400 .. rotors and caliber's .. but they made a difference on my car, it stops so much better ,plus i still had all original stock brakes so they were worth it
Dude there is so much dirt and grime and fucken rust underneath that car!!! The body paint is okay but you need to spend some time cleaning the underside of your car
