A safe that size with any sort of burglary rating would weight 1,000 to 1,500 lbs . That is a residential security container made of sheet metal with drywall inside as a fire break. Not a safe in a protection from thieves sense. And unless it was lag bolted down it’s a pretty significant risk of falling over and hurting someone.

I have a liberty safe about that size. maybe a tad bigger. 600 some pounds.

@@robertkwiatkoski1292 those liberty safes are less than 1/8” thick sheet metal sandwiched around drywall as fire protection, it’s why they are lighter, steel is heavy no way around it.

Do you have to cut the carpet out under the safe to bolt it to the floor? Or do you drill right through the carpet?
