Hummer Chronicles ep. 7 (Installing H2 Hummer SUT cab marker lights)
In this video I present to you new content, I’m giving you all full upgrade view of my personal vehicle. These videos will be like my own version of your average television shows, they’ll be uploaded in episodes showing and teaching you ways to enhance the look of your vehicle.
My new content is called “My Hummer Chronicles” and this is episode 7 (Changing out the crew cab lights). I figured since I’m always showing me painting and customizing vehicles why not invite you inside my ideas for my vehicle.
This will pretty much show another side to my channel and give you ideas that’ll make your vehicle stand out from that old stock look. Out with the old, in with the new.

You’re welcome, after filming this video I did notice that the water leaks still existed. Here’s what I found to be helpful and stop the leaks, by using a waterproof caulk seal on the outside of my lights I no longer have leak issues. The 4 lights on each corner will be where the water is entering, at the top where the roof rails slide is where the water builds up to leak inside of the light housing. What I did was caulk around the outside of the 4 lights eliminating any entry for water to enter. This is why you may be experiencing a lot of tree debris inside the light housing. I used Dynaflex Ultra from Lowe’s, it’s designed for windows, doors, siding and trim leaks.

Thanks for watching the video. I intend on doing an update video bc there’s another step that’ll be needed. You’ll need to seal around the inside of each light with a water sealer. Something such as loctite or any weather sealer.

love the video, helpfull to see how the lights are removed. although im curious why you didnt take the opportunity to re seal the internal grommet with rtv or silicone while you were there as these are the main reason the lights tend to leak.

Thanks and you are definitely correct, I ended up sealing them on a later date after noticing the leaks still occurring. I appreciate your input regarding the additional work needed.

I was going with clear/white marker lights. You helped changed my mind. I’m changing them to amber again but LED. (The Law) I guess lol

I actually ended up using a waterproof caulk sealer, you should be able to fill in any gaps with that.

The biggest leak is under the cowle. There's a giant hole they covered with a rubber flap and the glue breaks down so water runs down the windshield and right into that hole and behind the dash on the passengers side. It's a pain in the ass to fix.

Ok, ok I didn't know this, I thought the water was coming from the sun roof drain holes.... Something has clod up my drain holes, i got to find away to unclod both holes.. thanks for the video...i was hopeing you show us what those clear light lens look like in the dark....I was wondering are they're brighter than the color lens...

You’re welcome and yes they’re brighter than the original bulbs. I’d suggest that you go with LED lights instead bc they’re a much brighter option. When it comes to the leak I found it to be more than what I display in the video, actually you’ll need to seal the inside with weather resistant caulking. I used black outdoor caulk to be exact. Your drain system can definitely be clogged up though, if you have the SUT there are a few areas they’re located. In the trunk area under the vents are the main for the bottom and the top will be under the big 4 corner lights.

Actually I did, my intentions are to do a follow up video. I found that the leaks are coming through the rubber plugs that the lights are connected to. You’ll need to purchase any brand of all weather seal, apply the product around the exterior of where the plugs sit, seal and give it time to dry before putting the lights back together.

After filming this video I noticed that there’s more to it You’ll also need to add some type of liquid sealer around the plug that holds the light bulb, that’s where the leaks are coming through.
