Hog tunes is essentially rebranded Chinese Amazon junk. Bought the 400w Wild Boar kit for my RG. 6 months later I’m over it. Inconsistent and average sound quality. Louder than factory, yes. For a few hundred more you can get the superior Hertz speakers and amp. There’s a reason you can’t find the full specs on the hogtunes amps. The “400w” amp isn’t continuous, so your getting drop off and around half of the 200w per channel claim. If I had it to do all over, which I am, I’d pop a few hundred more and get a more prominent and quality setup.
Great video. I am on the fence between HD Boom Audio and Hogtunes Wild Boar. Noticed here you replaced HD Boom audio with Wild Boar. What are your reasons for the switch to Hogtunes Wild Boar?
I wanted a higher quality sound. The wild boar is pretty good, but my speakers started giving out. I’ve used Hogtunes in the past and loved them. The company is a small shop and answer when you call. They also make really good products specifically for motorcycles. Also the way the amps work is great, I can ad another amp and not have to run more wires. Just a good system for Harley’s
