Mate! what a great informative vid, just in the process of getting myself a Stinger and seeing what upgrades people are doing, and stumbled on your channel. Thanks again!
They are some cable management sleeves I found on Amazon - amzn.to/44VFVzI Make sure you get the ones that are slit down the middle so you can wrap it around the hoses. The non-slit kind are really hard to get the hoses thru.
Great video! Easy to follow. I was curious why you chose to take the Shroud out completely and not just cut a little spot for the snorkels? Is that shroud just a waste of space? Or did you feel the benefit of the factory shroud was not worth the hassle?
Thank you! Most people I watched and read instructions from just removed the shroud all together as it doesn’t seem to hinder performance with it gone, so I went ahead and did that too. Plus if you end up damaging the shroud you can’t go back to stock if there is a need.
@@donnaramirez696 I keep trying to reply to you but my message keeps going away. I tried to share the link with the pictures I used as a reference but long story short, I felt the same about the shroud so I used a dremel to cut holes in the shroud so they slipped in.
Nice vid. Did you have to change any of the ECU settings with the installation of the cold air intake and new duct work? I was warned that with the installation, the ECU should be upgraded since airflow is being increased. Thoughts?
Nope never had to adjust ECU at all, most newer cars the ECU will automatically adjust to compensate for the new amount of airflow unless it’s just a crazy amount the engine can’t handle.
can you elaborate How others have connected them so they turn on/off with the car? Second could you explain a little more how you secured wiring, esp the bluetooth control box? Thanks, excellent video by the way
To get the lights to turn on/off with the car you would need to put them in a different fuse spot in that box. I’m not exactly sure which one as I only researched plugging them in the way I did in the video so they could be used with the car off. I just secured the cables up under the edge of the engine bay with zip ties and in some areas a little high bond tape.
I believe it will work. The mounting points should all still be there for the GT-Lines, the only thing is one snorkel will just be supplying air to nothing since it has the single turbo.
What’s up bro, just installed these. Do you leave the switch to the actual wires on and just turn off the lights through your phone when you’re not using them. Or do you flip the switch completely to save the battery. Will it affect my battery if I don’t flip it every time?
Driven with them in heavy rain 3 times now, filters were dry every time. The snorkels curve up inside in a way that makes it so any water that would get past the grill and to the snorkel would just drip down out of the front of the snorkel. You would have to drive into a pond for these things to suck up enough water to get your filters wet.
The fuse tap just allows you to plug it in to the fuse box, now which fuse spot you plug it in to is what matters when powering them on/off. The fuse spot I plugged them in to supports power even when the car is off so I can use the lights when I’m parked at a car show.
It’s the Q1 Tech one for Stingers from Amazon but unfortunately it seems to be out of stock. amzn.to/3NC1m0Z just keep an eye out for when they re-stock.
Everything I have done so far has kept my warranty intact as confirmed by my Kia Dealer. However once you start modifying things like exhaust and bigger engine components that’s when dealerships start to look at you funny and talk about voiding.
Has to be done manually in the app if it’s connected the way I did it. I’ve seen people do it another way that shuts off with the car but then you can’t turn them on when you’re parked somewhere.

They have a kit for the GT-Line that is just a single scoop, not sure you would be able to mount these the same since they are made for the twin-turbo models.
Thank you! Looks bad ass though! I should of got the gt1 but they were marking it up too high and they wouldn't budge. All good though, I'll probably just get an underglow kit lol
@@ianolsen6389 well you might still be able to mount them, I’m just not 100% sure and I don’t want to tell you yes and then you end up wasting your money.
