Props for getting the hose cut to length too many builds with excess hose coiled around the stem, gives the bike a unfinished look.

When installing new brakes on old rotors, you need to clean the rotors thoroughly with alcohol, so the new brake pads don't get contaminated. Once that's done, then you must bed in the new pads to the rotors, so the brakes won't feel mushy.

I run Shimano deore xt with stock Tektro rotor on my duro and they catch good

What's up steeezy? This is Harry from Kentucky. And like a few others have said... sandpaper your pads, oh get the metallic ones first off, but sandpaper your pads in a circular motion and then lightly skuff up the rotors as well. Then isopropyl alcohol to them both. Let them dry while you get dressed, and then do your bed in process of hitting a hill, engage brakes, let go, engage again, let go. A few times and they should start biting.

Try the 180mm rotor might need to use a different brake caliper mount

I got a question when you put the hook worms did you have to change out the tube and is the tire a 27.5 because I’m thinking about putting maxxies on my beastmode.

Everybody who gets a new bike says the same thing. I dont wanna fall. I'm not gone wheelie until I break my pads in, but still end up throwin it and fallin or almost fallin🤣🤣🤣

So when running the break cables through the frame is the frame completely hollow making it hard to pull cable or is there like a little tunnel in the frame to where you just stick the cables in the hole and it come out the other hole ?

Lightly sand the pads and clean the rotor and you won't have that problem anymore

yo steezy my hydraulic brakes keep rubbing even if i adjust it i took a look at it and both of the pads are touching could it be too tight if so how do i fix it its not causing a problem i could still ride normaly i just wanna fix it (edit) im new to disc brakes cuz i got a mafia but i used to have a rim brake bike

sand the rotor n the pads w i think 400 did it to my jawn shits grab like none, clean it w alcohol after

go about 10 mph and start slowing down gradually and they will feel better

I do not like the tektro brakes horrible disc brake.

I was told to stick with the same brand because the rotors may have different widths

sometimes they will sometimes it won’t, my fast actually may have the same thing as your w the hub thing, my “rotor” to bent even tho I change out 3 times 🥲

Just put the shimano SLX 7120 on my cult devotion… been having problems with all my hydros having air in the line.. or so I thought we recently found out it was the oil I was running in the lines causing them to feel spongey
