We saw the Maxx Air fans a couple of years ago, and I had to add them to our trailer. We don't camp where we need Air conditioning very often, and these work great. They also help keep the condensation from gathering on your windows, so I can't imagine the littler fans not helping with that. I showed my smarter half the in refrigerator fan. She immediately remarked her concerns about using the lithium batteries.

That sound would drive me nuts too; would be okay when just taking a shower. We use the bathroom fan when taking a shower. I'm 5'2", I would need the remote. You make everything look so easy to do. That fridge fan would take up the space of a beer can, can't have that!

Any thoughts on if that fan would be good in the bathroom/shower? A lot of campers have that cheap shmeg brand one speed fan in the roof vent. Do you think this one would be better at drawing out the steamy air?

This fan works good for that. But in the toilet room I installed the Heng's Vortex, man that thing can move a ton of air! I installed a variable speed control to it to tame it down if we just want extra ventilation but not the noise. But to get rid of odors quick, nothing like it on high! www.loveyourrv.com/rv-bathroom-fan-upgrade-hengs-vortex/

Hello Ray, I an curious on you thoughts on this fan, that is if you are still using it. I have a small Winnebago travel trailer and was thinking this may be a good solution to convert the vent above the Murphy bed to e circulation fan, I do a lot of boondocking in the California Mojave desert and thought this would be a good budget friendly mod. Thank you for the great content. G

Yes, it has worked out quite well, use it a lot in the summer. I like the remote function and the timer function. Before I go to bed on hot evenings I can set it to bring in the cooler night air and have the timer turn it off. I'd say its only downside is since the fans are small they don't move as much air as some other bigger bladed fans. Like for example I have a Heng's fan in my bathroom and it can move a ton of air. www.loveyourrv.com/rv-bathroom-fan-upgrade-hengs-vortex/

Any advantage to this vs a MaxxAir or Dometic Fan Tastic ??

There are a lot of different models of those brands to compare but generally much cheaper at a little less than $100 for a roof vent fan with a timer and wireless remote but airflow is less on max speeds. My Fantastic fan on high speed really pumps the air, but super loud too. Titan 280 CFM vs Fantastic 920 CFM. But in all honesty, I rarely have the Fantastic fan higher than the 1st level as it's too loud. Only really use the high speeds to evacuate cooking moisture or odors. If you want a fairly low volume fan with a remote the Titan is an attractive option but if you want to move a ton of air it's not. Cheers, Ray

Those are 18650 cells (the batteries) funny enough you have hundreds of them in your house batteries, just not easily accessable 😂 I really think it's on it's way to replace the AA.

Some lithium house batteries use many small cylindrical cells, mine actually use 4 large rectangular cells called prismatic. Cheers, Ray

hello can you connect the roof fan directly to the car battery, my battery voltage is 12.3 to 13.8 V

Yes, you can. The voltage in my RV is around 13.2V and it works well.

Good grief, I couldn't sleep with that fan (or any fan) making noise in the bedroom. Only on very low maybe but then it might not do too well.

You must have real trouble with the RV furnace or air conditioner then. :) Luckily I sleep like a rock.

I'm just the opposite, I like a fan when I sleep, helps to keep outside or other noises from waking me.

"Ultra Fire"....... Poor naming for a Lith battery!!!!!
@LoveYourRV
@LoveYourRV 3 года назад
Yeah! The company that makes them makes flashlights and in some parts of the world a flashlight is called a torch so guess that is where the name for the UltraFire came from, but bad name for the batteries. :) www.ultrafire.com/
