Hi there. Did you get any leaks in the roof after installing aftermarket roof rails? Thanks George

Thanks for the video, since these use the same OEM mount points, wouldn’t they technically be as strong as the oem rails? What i mean is yes the steel bars are stronger but the Cherokee can still only hold 150lbs on the roof no matter what rails are installed?

I was also wondering what makes these stronger/better than the oem rails if they bolt in the same spot. Being that the cherokees are only rated for 150lbs on the rails anyways, how would sleeping in a rooftop tent be feasible since the combined weight of the tent and 1 or 2 people will surely be over 150lbs? I'd like to outfit my Cherokee with a rooftop tent eventually, but it doesn't even seem that it could support it regardless?

@@clayluce9574 I’ve had a rooftop tent on mine for two years on stock rails. No issues lol I just use good Thule crossbars

Hi do you know if you can attach other third party cross bars to the RRO roof rails?

Everything I tried to tighten up on that captive nut, including recommendations from RRO, did not work. So I removed the rail and packed under the lip around the top of the nut with epoxy, so as to secure it to the roof. That worked! If I ever need to refit the oem rails I will have to make an adjustment to that fitting.

@@tesser5250 thanks for reply... with the other two nuts, it looks strong enough, I think your epoxy solution helps with water. Looks good!

Did you ever get a tent on there? Working on building out my rig and I’m debating between a few.

I just ordered mine from RRO, i have had a tent on my stock rails no problem for years but i want peace of mind. RRO told me for a tent all you need is 2 crossbars and having 3 would not make a difference.

I ended up cancelling my RRO order since the stock rails have worked so well with my RTT for years now.

@@hayden8693 How heavy is your RTT? I just ordered one that's 164 pounds. Also have the Thule Crossbars that are rated at 165 pounds.

@@ericbarwacz5962 I drive a Tesla now haha but I had the Thule tent on the stock crossbars. No need to buy aftermarket
