We install a 1.2kw solar panel array on the roof of the garage. They will produce around 8 kwhs of electricity per day on average. The aim is to increase the energy efficiency of the house so that we use less electricity that the solar panels produce. The power from the panels is put through an inverter and put back into the grid. We we connect it it makes the electricity meter turn in reverse as we actually generate more power than we are using in the house.
