Ok to answer a load of questions, the concrete floor needs sealing with a primer, in the UK all concrete floors are insulated underneath the concrete slab. The primer acts as a sealer to stop moisture, the glue is also waterproof, the glue is also flexible, to allow for expansion off the wood throughout the seasonal temperatures and moisture. Always leave a expansion cap around the room edges, NEVER nail like these guys did, your stopping the floor from moving, it will fail and crack, and boards will come apart creating gaps along the joints. Hope this helps a few people.
No tar paper or water barrier behind the wood?? We have hurricanes where. I live. I think the house would be flooded after a major wind and rain storm, no?😢
Can you even tell me what the differences between RC-2 and “metal furring channel“? I bought some of both, and the furring channel seems heavier duty, even though they are both 25 gauge.
This actually gave me an idea to fix my Estilo kitche tap in Australia. It was low pressured. I removed the bottom filter and cleaned the blocking elements. Just saved me $300 !
*Pure nonsense! All practical tests show that small wind turbines hardly generate any electricity! And only at very high costs!* Because there is hardly any wind close to the ground. It is also extremely gusty, which usually shortens the service life. Only if you need to be self-sufficient from the power grid, you should install the largest possible wind turbine on a high tower for the winter. *With solar panels, on the other hand, you can reliably generate green electricity for 25 years at approx. 3-10 cent/kWh!*
This seller ships this item very carefully to ensure that your room divider ru-vid.comUgkxWv_wTHyTRVm0QkcOw1Rz2-5g_gDoRTkU is not damaged in transit. They even place stickers saying glass, handle with care. I originally bought a 4 panel room divider, but after receiving it I knew I needed larger for the area I was trying to hide. I wanted a 6 panel, but it was not offered in the Espresso color that I wanted, so I went with 5 panels. This is serving my purpose very well on hiding my dog's pee pads. I ended up using the 4 panel one in a corner behind my Christmas tree. The best thing is you do not have to put anything together, you just take it carefully out of the box and place it where you want it. It can be moved around very easily. Plus, these dividers start at the floor, so nothing is seen moving around on the other side like some other dividers I looked into. Now that I have a 4 and 5 panel one, I am sure that I can get them to overlap and work other ways should I need to in the future.
what about in humid climates?? It seems to me that while the air cools...it gets a lot more humid later at night. I live in an apartment building and am getting in arguments with other tenants over our stairwell windows. I want them closed when outside dew point is higher than inside...these morons I live with think that all air is fresh air...no matter temp or humidity. I can't believe I have to deal with this nonsense.
These fabric pelmets look like headboards. I scant see why anyone would want one. A pristine white/other colour painted pelmet looks better imho. But each to their own I guess. Also I don’t see the need for the thickness of the mdf used here. It’s a very heavy material and a lesser thickness would’ve done the job. Also, to anyone interested in making one - if it’s to cover a curtain rail, don’t forget to allow extra depth/height etc. And why not show how to attach it to the wall? That’s more challenging for most people than building the box.
I'd probably use (full) 5L water containers from Bunnings. That way, you'd always have cold water in the house, and if you have a powercut, you have the the thermal mass to help maintain the temp for longer. An alternative for this (if you drink, or have guests that do) would be beer.
Thank you. This is the ONLY video where crimping was done. the other videos, every one I saw, screwed the studs, which as we know, kicks-out the sheet rock where the screws are. Nice work.
I fitted a whole loft cieling on my own using my head and a 3x2 T shaped prop. Simply push the border up supporting g the center. Hold it with your head have the prop near by leaning on a ladder etc then reach for it and jam it underneath. If it's just a bit longer than the height of the ceiling it will jam and hold the board. Then you can relax and get a few screws in. Not easy but there is a way
What is the brand name of this vent? There’s no link to where you get one or any other information to help anyone out…. Is this an April fools joke video or what? Are you trying to see how far you can push people before they break from frustration and anxiety… You’re both a couple of bloody clowns….👎🏽👎🏽
