Summary: They do help but you should choose a different path.
Tires rubbing: Get the proper size tires and rims.
Want a lift: Do your research and install a proper lift with new springs.
Installing Autocraft AC4474 spring boosters on my Honda Fit was an easy way to get my oversized tires to rub less. However they aren’t a good way to lift a vehicle.
This product can screw up you suspension geometry leading to poor handling, improper alignment, and tire wear. It will also stiffen your suspension and remove some suspension travel possibly making your vehicle less controllable on uneven roads.

Despite the comments from nay-sayers, I really like this idea. I would put these in for the winter when I put the snow tires on and take them out when the snow tires come off. I drive my fit 30 miles a work day all on good roads. I live in SW Montana and need just a little bit of clearance to keep from being high centered on the snow.

Seen your advanced auto review i got the same ones haven't installed yet tho How was the ride quality was it stiffer or not really noticeably different

Ride quality was about the same except on bigger bumps where it stiffened earlier than stock.

See you put at the bottom I was told you're only supposed to put them in the middle of the springs who told you to put them at the bottom I don't think that's the right way to do please get back to me on this

After some research it looks like you are correct. They should be installed in the middle. The instructions I remembered were put them in the spring in the position where it is the tightest.

This will destroy your shock absorber life .... i have removed them with in 2 months of usage... don't go for it.

just curious, why do you say that? I was thinking of getting them for the rear of my 2003 crv just because its sagging a little.

@@Pavan21564 because you have increased the spring rate and built a dangerous method of breaking a spring by creating a single point of tension. Shithouse idea, get the right tyres in the first place

@@hughjohnson2674 I have not made any changes to spring... Just got it installed with engineer help and post that the car started jumping like hell... Don't go for it...

You increased the spring rate by effectively reducing the length of the spring by reducing the number of active coils thus putting the spring material under greater load than designed for and also adding a stress riser where the collar finished on the spring. I totally agree do not use these ever they are dangerous and can lead to accidents and injury or worse. A very stupid piece of equipment.
