Since winter is coming fast i decided to give my car a lift before the snow fall. This is a video showing how i did it. Hope you enjoy! Thanks for Watching be sure to Subscribe!!
It really improved the ride, i could tell the difference on the bumpy roads and in the snow i had the extra space to keep moving forward. I had soft springs so my car rides tended to be bumpy but this also helped to firm them up. The only problem is the spacers become brittle after the cold weather and will need to be replaced.
Can you use these strut or spring spacers for the rear as well? I really want the rear raised. My front is ok. And what is the difference between those and the metal ones and the difference between spring and strut spacers? And of course, which is the best to use, especially to keep the smooth ride of the car?
can you use the longer spring rubber booster? instead of the short ones... are the longer ones also made for the front springs, cause on a 97 gran marquis, the front springs have small gap, and the back have large gap
Won't they come off if u drive crazy or anything? How reliable are they and are the for front coil sprins only? I need this for my car bad. Or should I go for the round ones for more security?
These actually did end up falling apart. They became very brittle due to the weather. In the freezing cold these will fail. If you live somewhere where it doesn't snow or freeze these will do you good if not but the metal/aluminum ones. Now for the crazy driving, for the time i had them on they definitely helped. i could tell on speed bumps i would scrape the bottom of my car and i never had a problem with them falling off due to aggressive driving.
Good video I have the exact same G6 I was planning on changing my rims black to I wasn't sure how it would though I see that its dope definitely will do now.
Thank you, I managed to lift my car for a rally event and used 2" strut spacers that sit on top of the struts. I think if I used the ones in the video I wouldn't have been able to enter the event. :D
@@darkefoxx The primary difference is that the spring spacers in the video will stiffen the suspension (at least until they fall out) which makes the car ride higher. Strut spacers raise the car without changing the spring rate.
@@glassmakerx Spring rate is fixed when the spring is born. You can not change it anyway possible. What you change with compression is the load (kg) it exerts on the part. Spacers do compress the spring thus giving that extra force (pre-compression) which results in making the spring stronger
BlaackListed true. I was mentioning the video they did where people asked if they could. All asks is that you buy the album and put in credit. Hes actually generous with his created music which is nice of him.
leave him alone bro he might be young and just trying things out. ofcourse we are older and have more knowledge. but he can do what he wants. young = new = learning
