Can I suggest you place some split tube over your cables that run from the battery to the black jack. It will protect them from rocks and stones and prevent shorts. real easy to fit. Cheers.

Hopefully now you like it remount it where the old one was in the centre out of the way, it's cheap to buy the Cable protection split tube, cover the wiring up all the way

Good work. Couple of things for consideration. 1. Recomend placing the fuse as close to battery as possible for improved harness protection. 2. Would it be better to mount it in place of original jockey wheel in the centre. All in all it looks lile a good thing?

Thanks for watching. The fuse is probably 30cm away from the battery, we do realise it would have been better closer and should have in hindsight. We left the original Jockey wheel bracket in place as a back up but also if we had mounted it there Jon would have had to grind back where the brackets were and he didnt want too. It would have been a better position your right there, however Blackjack is performing well

Great job John, really looking forward to picking up our C Class on the 28th August, I'm the sort of guy that will straighten a picture on a wall, I see you placed the bracket over the info late on the draw bar, just moving the black jack bracket 50mm would straddle the plate so not to cover it up 😁😁😁 After seeing how easy the install was I'm going to order one, good on you both.

Hahaha yes Jon is a bit of a slap it here man himself however he is extremely nervous when we film these segments so never saw that. He said next time we are at our home base he will take another look. Thanks for watching and yes do get one, we honestly love ours

not a bad video but fuse location wasn't very good or cable sizing on your van period, too small, you will get a lot of volt drop and heat, plus asking for a short with the way you ran your cable, should be in at least split tube conduit.

That cable actually comes with the kit to install from Black Jack and it is now in conduit. We have had it installed for over about 2 years now with no volt drop or short. Thanks for watching

G’day again I’ve been looking at the same 3 jockey wheels updating to. Can I plug the blackjack into a Anderson plug on the drawbar. The same one I plug my solar blanket into , I know it has outward plug as I’ve plugged an electric caravan mover into it ( not my mover just trying it out ) thanks for the review
