I have had it in my Wildtrak for the past 2 years and LOVE it. AC is my best setting… So when I bought a weekend toy, a Mercedes SL500 I was delighted to see you make one for it. Had it installed last week and WOW ! Still the AC setting but for a 5 liter engine it’s too much, so I keep the gear setting on WINTER to ease it off, and that works perfectly.
Bought one of these for my GWM Cannon, took 10 mins to install. Takes away the hesitation the Cannon has at take off. I found U.3 setting worked just nice for me.
Installed one in a 2019 V6 Amarok. On U9 the throttle is very, very sensitive. It transformed the car and gives it instant boogie. A huge difference to stock.
Hi, i have tried Hike IT on my ford Everest auto 2022. Problem i noticed is, Everest is 10 speed auto, so with Hike IT on auto mode when i push throttle it increases engine revs and at the same time goes in a lower gear which gives a feeling of some uncomfortable jerk to car. Also with kit active on auto mode it changes gear so frequently that at some stage driver gets annoyed. Whats your experience on EVC ?
Purchased evcx 9. Unfortunately my cx5 apple car/radio turned off on me after installing this product. Any advice of how I can turn my radio back on again? Love the product but my radio has no power 😢
I got a ford ranger raptor and would love to know how long should I have it in ultimate mode or can the vehicle handle it like if you were to use it for a whole day ?
Hi Brett, your Ranger Raptor should be absolutely fine if you leave it in ultimate mode all day, our OE Ranger uses U3 everyday and has had no dramas driving around.

Hi Archel, while we can't say for certain what would happen as no-one is willing to sacrifice their iDrive, most likely the vehicle would proceed to function just like normal, worst case a check engine light would come on. We would highly recommend not driving with a broken iDrive though, and please do not cut wires. If you would like more detail than this, please contact Ultimate 9 for further info. Hope this helped.
@@OutbackEquipment hey bud I just got 1 as a gift and I install it in my ute which is ( mitsubishi triton 2008 turbo diesel ) but I don't see any difference ... I just plugged it in nothing else like disconnect the battery terminals. Can you pls tell me what is the right way . Thank you.
*** Really important notice *** I was a fool and used a cheap e-bay cam belt for my GW4D20 Turbo Diesel engine. 2 days after installing the EVC I ran at a constant Ultimate 7 mode, the cam belt snapped and a total head replacement was required. After going through this painful exercise I will never buy cheap parts, filters etc.. again! I hope this saves someone some money in the future. Oh and I will set the EVC to a much lower level for regular road use, just a touch better than factory from now on.
Hi there. I have the same device for my GWM P Series. 1. Can it do harm to my engine? 2. Can I change inbetween modes while driving, or do I need to stop everytine? 3. Once I uninstall it, can it be traced on my vehicle that I used an Throttle Contoller?
Hi Bianka, it's completely safe to use, it has no effect on the engine itself, only the electric throttle. Yes you can change modes whilst driving and no once the original plugs are back in the sockets, no one can tell.
Somebody needs to show how to install on a 4Runner. Thanks Toyota for using a connector that can barely be disconnected with the throttle assembly taken out. 2-10 mm nuts takes it off, then the battle of depressing the tang while pulling the connector.

Hi Mark, These EVC Throttle Controllers don’t void your warranty. Fuel consumption can go either way depending on how you drive the car. If you choose a more aggressive response option the fuel consumption may go up but if you use a more gradual pedal then fuel consumption may improve, it really does depend on how you tune it. Is it supposed to turn on with starting the vehicle. I’m having trouble. Car won’t start and no power I assume to the throttle controller because the led screen is dead or shows nothing no light no words nothing
I did all the correct steps installation was easy but now my car won’t start with unit in if I unplug it and plug the stock back in car starts no problem with ses light on now tho but clears and doesn’t come back. I’m starting to think I got a bad one or maybe one for different model of the same vehicle.

It's a bit more than just 'plug it in' ... you surely have to power the car down, then let it shut down completely whilst having your electronic key out of range & leaving the driver's door open and so on and so on... then calibrate it due to the HP of the engine etc... If you get it wrong, its a complete ball ache...
nah just disconnect neg battery terminal, connect the device, reconnect, and it's good to go. you'll need to go through the throttle relearn process only if you stuff up in not properly connecting it before putting the key in.
pulled my keys out of the ignition and hooked it up in 2 minutes, you don’t need to fuck around with disconnecting the battery and leaving the key outside etc, most likely only on there to eliminate any liabilities to evc on the slight possibility it could cause an issue in the vehicle
