I couldn't disagree with you more. I have bought alot of OmniWall and I love the product. After seeing my setup my son also bought the product. I have used pegboard in the past and after years it has warped and failed. You pay for what you get. It looks great! And no I don't work for or sponsered by Omniwall. Both my son and I had a couple of issues and the customer service was great for us. My son had one damaged wall panel and they sent a new one out right away. I got the wrong bracket and they sent a new one right away. As far as shipping goes it's free over a $75 purchase and it does take usually 4-7 days to process and then what ever it takes for UPS. But in my opinion it was worth the wait. Just another point of view.

I think the space shuttle was also held together with plastic trim clips. It’s fine. Everything’s fine.

sorry you had so much trouble with it. I couldn't be happier with my 4x8 wall of it. super high quality and not so bad to install

I’ve been looking at systems like this. One thing I found on Amazon is HD plastic pegboard sections. They usually come in 24”x16” panels and stand off from the wall like Omniwall. Will screw into the studs with no extra install parts. I thought they looked cool because they get rid of one of the traditional pegboard material issues, sagging and warping from humidity etc.

Wall Control is the way to go buddy. Just about as well made, with tons of accessories and much easier to install. Prices not as ludicrous as OmniWall, and yes, you can get "scratch and dent" pieces at nearly half off on their dedicated site for such. You did a nice job on yours however, it looks good.....😁

I heard about Wall Control scratch and debt. Didn’t realize it was on their website, thought it was only a physical outlet store type thing. Will have to check it out, thank you!

They should have replied to your email. Now I definitely wouldn't buy from them. I'm going over to Menards. Peg board heaven.

Where did you get that orange/black shelf above the cabinets that stores longer material?

The finest of Amazon purchases. Maybe $40.

I don’t see much pegging in the gold plated peg board. You purchased man wall paper which is pricey.

Not much pegging around here.

I know y'all don't work in wood very much... but for $50-60 it would cost for another 4 slot power tool holder, you could make a tool holder of wood that holds all those tools plus batteries, chargers, bits, blades, etc... check out some wood shops and power tool charging walls... super quick and easy build. And you can customize to whatever size shape etc you want to... I would recommend checking out: Brad's upgraded one with the blade storage and pullout sliders on Fix This Build That, Bourbon Moth Woodworking made a big one, and basically every woodworker has one... a sheet of plywood plus some glue, screws, brads, sand paper, paint/stain/coat, etc stuff you likely already have and you have whatever system you want. Even if you had to buy all the consumables, a circular saw, a drill, a small sander of whatever kind you want, and possibly even a used cheap air gun & compressor too... you still could probably get the whole space with much more stuff and etc for $600 (if you already have tools and just count the plywood and consumables then $100).

If I were to start from scratch on a garage the walls would be plywood instead of drywall and definitely a system of French cleats for building holders, etc. Thanks for the suggestions, will definitely keep this in mind as the garage is always evolving.

Maybe….I work with wood and built a good number of power tool holders and such to my own specifications. In the end everything worked, but it looked like a Flintstones meets Colonial Williamsburg contraption. I did a bit of measuring and math, and by using OmniWall (yes, very expensive) I saved more than enough room to bring my UTV into the garage. So, wood is possible, but it can’t be made smaller or less dense.

Doesn't have to be. Some of my stuff is just 1/4" ply and 1/8" hardboard. Doesn't have to be big and bulky. Can be, but regardless, I just find pegboard type systems to look visually cluttered and flimsy. I prefer nails/screws and supports sort of tool wall stuff to pegboard. Or tool cabinets and seeing how tight and beautiful you can fit the tools in... Practical art. And if you don't like using scraps, you can make them look better with more time or you can use fancier woods. Heck, even using metal and custom making the tool holders would be cheaper and fit better than the omniwall type stuff. My set up is all sorts of materials. 3d printed, metal, wood, PVC, rope, etc. do what works for you. If you have more money, do it. @@patrickjennings7362

Nah, I replaced my French Cleat system with some Wall Control and Omniwall...SO much more versatile! The Wall Control panels are good too, but I like the way the accessories attach. Hate when I pull a tool and a bracket tries to come off. With the OmniWall clips, the hooks stay in place.

Nope you’re wrong! French cleats are only bad if your imagination is non existent! You can have what you want with French cleats

I have WallControl, and I enjoy using it (and reinstalled in two previous rental locations) for 5 years. It does not have stupid installation issues illustrated in the video (they still need more or less perfect stud placement, so I'm using 2x4 crossbars). It's heavy duty, and have a million of accessories (not all of them are cheap, but most are). And even better - they have factory outlet for non-perfect-production-pieces on discount prices. I'm not affiliated with them in any way, just a happy customer.

Peg boards just show the thief where your power tools are located. Thanks for hanging them out easy to grab. With batteries.

So you start off saying how sh**ty and horrible pegboard is and end by saying just buy pegboard and save yourself some money. LMAO. Hey I get it, it's really expensive but it's made in America so of course it's really expensive, you want cheap buy chinese.
