The instruction manual coulda saved me a lot of headache if it just changed the order of operations a bit so watch this video before installing yours. Also you might need some specialized tools.
Hmm i built up the SR2 four weeks ago and i had none of your problems by following every step from the manual :) i checked every lengths so everything matched fine. So i didnt need 2nd person, no car lifter, no special tools.
To anyone watching this video, this is an EASY INSTALL. I was able to install this entirely by myself and only needed help to hoist it back down flat when install was complete. I don't think this is a fair or accurate video. This guy didn't read the instructions then has the nerve to complain about install? Firstly, at 1:58, you complain about not knowing where to place the actuators, in front or behind the uprights. It states clearly in the manual that you place them where you believe you will have 50/50 weight distribution between the front and back actuators. Every rig is different, and this was clearly stated. Second, at 3:30-5:20 you complain that the instructions claim you should put the chassis back down on the ground, when in fact, it tells you to complete the whole installation on a sawhorse or something else that props the chassis up. Finally, and 'most obnoxiously' as you put it, at 5:40 you complain about not having a short enough screwdriver to fit it in between the screw and the actuator.....you put the screws in the wrong way bud....if you had read the directions you'd realize the screws come in from the other side and all you need on the side you're complaining about is a wrench to hold the bolt. You're able to identify you're 'not a tool guy' so maybe you should have thought about that before posting this video? It's you that's the problem here, not the product.
I sent all my feedback to Simrig and they agreed and said they’d update the manual. It’s very possible the manual you are reading is an updated one from the one that I was using thanks to my experiences and feedback. Maybe think about that possibility before being an internet troll.
@@JaySeverson I built the exact same system as you. Watched your video before purchasing the unit (your video almost turned me off of the purchase altogether, which is why I felt the need to comment). I assure you I got the same manual you did. You just seem to have an issue reading, but no issue running to the internet to complain. You are the 'internet troll', im just an informed buyer and someone who knows how to read a manual and use common sense. Or maybe this was all just a bit overwhelming for your little brain?
No problem installing at all, just RTFM and follow it. The feeling of the system is amazing. I think the phillips screw heads is to avoid over tighten the screws.
Any new updates on this product from anyone? I am considering buying this, trying to make a decision between this and another company, wonder what any real world users are saying about it after some use? Thanks.
Great system. Removed everything and flipped it onto saw horses. Installed the SR2 and then installed onto NLR traction plus system using profile and custom made 3d printed feet. Works really well with the traction plus as well.
Hi, Guess the real question is how well does it work my other alternative is eracing or home built. Do really care which but just need help with the best choice for improving the driving experience. Thanks for any input in advance.
Nice Video and very usefull informations!! Thanks!! But i still have the most important question for me:… Would you recommend the SR2 System?? Is it the Money worth? Hello from Germany…✌🏼
If you have a doubt the best the ask simrig. Their support is something I have never seen before. I sent them 100 emails they they responded 200. Super happy and proud with my sr1
