I just found your channel a couple days ago and now I'm watching a video from you with a compressor that I machined parts on. 👍 I'm a machinist at vmac. Great products. Keep the air tank with a check valve, it will keep the throttle operation smooth. Great videos. Where are you located.

I'm in Ft Worth Texas. That's awesome man. Iv always loved VMAC products. I'll definitely look in that check valve. Any suggestions on a particular style?

@@StephenCoxfixit Any one way check valve should work. We do sell them on our website, but you should a able to find one anywhere. The G30 doesn't store any air, so should have holding tank. Again great videos.

Service trucks are always something that interest me. Mobile techs have to use their ingenuinity to make a vehicle that carries all of their equipment without leaving anything behind. Or functiona,l enough that they can leave things behind because something functions as more than one thing :)

Honda engines are indestructible. I use to work at a big box store that sold all sizes of air compressors. Someone had returned a $1200 ingersoll rand wheelbarrow compressor because they forgot to put oil in it and seized the engine and the cashier didn't care and took the return. They put the compressor out for half price marked as is. It sat for about 4 months until one day I asked the store manager if I could have it for $150 and they agreed. I dumped some marvel mystery oil in the spark plug hole, broke the engine free with a socket and a breaker bar, cleaned out the cylinder and that Honda GX 160 fired on the first pull and ran like a hot damn.

Awesome video! One day I might need a similar compressor to the one that you just mounted but I was wondering about how you modified that Ingersoll Rand compressor that you mentioned. I have a regular full size gas truck and I want to modify a compressor so that I won't need a camper shell and still be able to keep all of my stuff dry and out of sight. I have thought about just getting a stacked compressor and modifying it to have the tank next to it rather than underneath the engine/pump.

Stihl used to be a good brand. Then they started manufacturing overseas and quality has gone downhil. Talk to repair guys that have been around a while. Husqvarna and Jonsered are taking their place

I'm a mobile auto body and paint guy , I use rattle cans for painting lol my customers tell me why don't I get a small compressor with a paint gun , my question is can you help me what size compressor I need and how my cfm I need ? I'm only painting doors hoods fenders not full body paint jobs any help we would be awesome

That compressor gets the job done as well( harbor freight). We had got one on a truck of ours and they were about $1100 at the time. Never gave a complaint doing big rig road service a year straight. It's a less expensive option. I like the Mi-T-M company myself. Not the cheapest..but hold up very well.

I've never had a problem with carb. I leave my fuel on all the time.

@Benjamin Burlos if your carb leaks with the fuel on then something is wrong with the carb. Mine should be worn out and I leave it on all the time. I've literally never turned it off. Mine runs 3 hrs a day 5 days a week. It's been on 2 pickups. It's over 10 yrs old. I clean it out every 3 months.

@@westtexas806the reason it is run for so long, so often is why it's not causing you issues. Leave it sit for 6-8 months and the carb would need to come off for a clean
