This is so confusing! Please help! I'm on a Galaxy Note 10 (SM-N970f), 3.1 Android 11, Exynos. I've managed to unlock the bootloader and root the device via Magisk. As I was proceeding with flashing TWRP, i'm unsure whether I need to patch the TWRP build (twrp-3.5.1_9-0-d1) in Magisk first before flashing it via Odin because according to the provided guide on XDA forum.xda-developers.com/t/...-x-twrp-for-galaxy-note-10-5g-exynos.4198413/ it seems (Instruction Odin) in step 9 I just need to proceed with downloading the proper TWRP.tar File and put it in the AP tab of Odin as instructed in Step 11. So, ..do I have to patch the TWRP build in Magisk before flashing via Odin? I would appreciate your help! Thank you so much!
@@fxthe1st you mean Android version? Most likely 10, because it was root-unlocked demo unit with denied updates. Now i sold it, my iPhone XS and bought Fold 3, "gray" version from some islans or somthing so it was not as expensive (about 1250usd)
I'm here to just say thank you. Please don't change your tutorials method. It's excellent. I came to find out how to do something and got another answer. I keep losing magisk everytime I reboot. I was planning on flashing stock and doing again. Then you spoke about holding down the button and even went ahead to show how it's done. Basically thanks a lot man. Saved me lots of time and effort.

I haven't used TWRP in many, many years due to the buggy builds, late releases, and incompatibility with Magisk at the time (and mostly, since) there are some alternatives that have popped up, but device support is generally hit or miss It sucks to not have fully device backups anymore, but I can backup/restore app data with root options so it's not too bad of a loss

It's not working like it is but it gives me a lot of problem such as can't use the camera and more. I think it happens becasue there is no other way but reboot the phone if it stucks in the samsung logo. What should i do to fix it ?
i tried "select and patch file" with s10 twrp and i get the failed error saying that no boot image is found, process error. any suggestions? thanks Update: for anyone that runs into this problem, basically the boot.img and vbmeta.img is missing. 1) the normal twrp file has just the recovery.img 2) select and patch file - recovery.img 2) get the "boot.img" and "vbmeta.img" from the original root "magisk_patched.img.tar" 3) use 7zip or similar to edit all 3 files together (boot, recovery, vbmeta) - (i put boot and vbmeta in the new recovery.img magisk_patced file) 4) flash new file
yes, it's the same. I just put that in the title as that's the latest version of Android. the process is the same for Android 9, you just need to make sure you're flashing/patching the same firmware version that is currently on your phone (you can't downgrade)

Hello, Many of us have 10+ snapdragon notes rooted via magisk and we have followed your procedure a dozen times it does not work, we always have the message ... Error no boot Image found ... So or you do not tell us everything, or it amuses you to make us struggle .. Stop putting tutorials online, which are useless to us. And especially if you could deliver more than 5 words per minute, because we are not idiots, fortunately when I charge my ar15 when I am on a mission in less than 2 minutes, because I will not be there talking to you.
I'm not sure what caused that error (maybe it became corrupt during the download? or you have a setting on that is forcing md5 checks?). you can unbrick the devcie with this tutorial and try again with a clean slate - www.androidexplained.com/galaxy-note-10-unbrick/
Sir,actually odin cant take file says md5 binary invalid!! The AP file downloaded from samfirmware official and it s not corrupted because i flashed same stock AP file which i was downloaded the problem is i cant load magiskpatched.tar into odin error occurs here.. pls help

Hi, Something strange happened to me, i tried to add twrp and then when i did, i went into the recovery mode and saw 2 Android Recovery instead one. Is there anyway to fix it ?
I haven't personally tested it yet, but the process to root is the same so I would assume the process to install TWRP is too. you'd want to look in the XDA thread to confirm though. I'll try to do a video on installing TWRP on the S10 in the future (I just recently did a root video for it)
@@ExplainingAndroid ok thanks,by the way,i believe when you will make a video on it,you will probably do the same steps as i found out on the internet, i did managed to have twrp installed,but for some reason when flashing the multidisabler ,camera will not work,i have done all the things that is necessary to be sure that it is the multidisaeler zip issue.
that is why i am waiting for you to make a video on it as you might do different steps then i did which maybe my steps were not as needed and as a result i got that camera not working issue.
Yes, I'm still using it as a daily driver. I would probably sell it for 500 or 600, depending on the used price it goes for (I won't price match cause I use the phone as a daily driver)
@@laztbr3th I've just kept Samsung's OneUI on it, but if the price was right I could do the work and get a custom ROM installed on it. I don't have the time to go through them and test features though since it's my daily driver :(
@@ExplainingAndroid oh ok... its rooted with twrp the rest is easy... you got the hard part outta the way, is the phone in good shape? im running Havoc rom on my note 8, i had to get it off ebay cause i wanted to root it, i got lucky and found a DS version it works fine on US Gsm networks

Latest Android 10 (CTC9, April 1 2020) with Samsung UI 2.1 is not supported by official TWRP in twrp.me/Devices/Samsung/ - Note10/+ Exynos doesn't appear. From my experience it crashes the camera. Any suggestions ??
I am seeing comments below mention a camera bug. I have switched to the Note 10+ as my daily driver, but I don't run TWRP on it, just Magisk + root apps. I didn't have this issue on the firmware I used in February but I will look into this issue on the XDA forums to see if I can find anything
Hi! I have a problem, after installing TWRP and multidisabler I can't start with root because it opens TWRP when I press volume + and power button a few seconds
Even if magisk pass safety net, play store is stil not satisfied. That means most apps which look for Google's satisfaction won't work, here too props doesn't work

Could you now put in download mode put twrp P9 through Odin AP ???, then restart in twrp flash multidisaber, format data in TWRP and restart in TWRP and install ROM P9 ??? watch the log of magisk when its patching the AP file, it's working the vbmeta patch in there the only time I've seen vbmeta being used in a root tutorial is when they are not letting magisk patch the entire AP file (many like to extract the boot.img file from it, patch it, and then repackage it all up)

im not seeing much changes in the android filesystem from the s10 to the note 10 series. so I assume it's the same. you will need files specific to the s10e though (my tutorial only links to note 10 files). I do have an s10 here though and should start to put together a root and twrp guide for it in the near future. time is going to be tough though with the s20 being delivered soon. i will certainly be looking into it!

Hi could you please make a tutorial for the S10 series? ive tried these steps but with the s10 files and with magisk root access however it keeps getting stock on boot, it will not boot into twrp at all.

usually not. once you trip KNOX (which happens when you root the phone), you can't undo it. there have been some workarounds though. for some devices with some apps. this varies though. you should ask in the 'questions' forum for the galaxy note 10 XDA forum. they will be more up to date with what is currently available
The camera stopped working after I installed TWRP and flash MultiDisabler. Do you have the same issue? I don't know if this is cased by the TWRP or the MultiDisabler.

I have read that you can flash a custom kernel to the phone that will stop you from having to hold buttons down during boot to load Magisk. I haven't tested this yet but it may also remove these warning screens on boot. i need to look into that sometime this week
