They are all unique usually to the engineers designing however if we are just putting them in usually 24” deep and 12” wide.

Are all the purlins welded with 6010 electrodes? And 7018 on main beams? And are the wall purlins welded to clips like the roof?

I can't imagie paying all that money only to put some fiberglass and tin on the outside. Should do wood sheating, insulation, dry wall.

Built several of these buildings. Easy money . Definitely saved time when you can predrill the siding before hand . Keeps all screws uniform and in straight lines . I still see guys drilling each sheet as they go . I guess if I wanna move back to Texas I can install Butler buildings/ metal buildings.

Question for anyone seeing this with the knowledge. For the roll up door space, is it better to just ramp the concrete in the entrance or actually set in a step in drip line like the one for the R-panel but a little larger?

Typically, what is the cost per square foot to do a building like this without electricity or any interior buildout? So, frame, insulation, skin, concrete, overhead door, ped door, and gutters?

Josh, how much of an overlap is there generally between each panel? What are the windloads on the doors? Looks like you're losing some weight. Looking good! My sister and her husband have a 30x40 with a 10x40 lean-to on one side and a 5x20 porch on one end.

once i buy more land near my house ill looking to build a 30x40 shop for working on vehicles with a lift and air supply for my tools. want to also add used oil furnace to heat my shop. how does that stuff thats in between the siding and the frame hold in the heat, does it insulate it well?

Cable bracing isn’t necessary on anything less than 40’ wide or 60’ long. The flange bracing lacking makes more sense. The saw cuts just hide cracks

I like these videos but is there a way to change the roof to something like copper if I want to match my home? Also to have it spray foamed later and not have you install the fiberglass does that change the price much?

What determines the best type of insulation? When building a home, what do you recommend for a really humid climate?

I think it’s Important to look at the climate and the location of where you’re going to be building. Because those humidity levels on the exterior can be an issue and dictate the climate you’re trying to create on the inside. So you may have to step up the HVAC system to a variable speed as well as maybe an ERV system something like dehumidifiers may be in order.

Insulation is important but it’s just based on R factor so it’s more important that you have air tightness as a first defense, insulation second defense and a good functioning variable speed HVAC system on the inside.

This insulation is garbage. With steel you need closer cell spray phone. This fiberglass will be all mold in 5,years

I can't see how this could possibly cost 30-40k. It's about 10k in building material. 6-8k for slab. And maybe 3 in labor. Anything more than 25k would be a pretty good screwing.
