Yea it’s closed season plus it was in the 60s so I think it was to cold and windy for pple to come out lol

Great video. I have the same rod in the heavy not the extra heavy. Do you think the extra heavy is better for flair hawks with the 200 size VSX. Thanks

I have the heavy as well but I find myself using the Xheavy more because it has more backbone!👍 I think the heavy is perfectly fine for the 200 though.

I have a vsx 150 paired with a St.Croix legends 9ft 3/4oz - 4oz. been thinking about adding a vsx 200 to the collection and using it on that rod.

What kind of rod do you have paired with the Van Staal VSX 200? Also Is the VSX 200 to big or overkill for snook compared to the 150?

I have this rod mudhole.com/products/mhx-90-x-heavy-musky-saltwater-rod-blank-mu108xh-mhx?_pos=1&_sid=4a4415fd4&_ss=r . I also like the VSX200 better because it has more line capacity just in case I hook up to anything bigger like a tarpon or huge jack which is common at Sebastian. The VSX150 is a nice reel but to small for my liking and I’ve read pple have problems with them.
