This is the perfect way to do Thanksgiving if you're opting for a smaller, intimate gathering. If you choose to pass on preparing the traditional whole Turkey, try this easy, flavorful and juicy Instant Pot Turkey Breast Roast.

Instant Pot Turkey Breast Roast
Prep time: 5 mins Cook time: 40 minutes
Total time: 45 minutes
Ingredients
5 lb boneless turkey breast roast (I used skinless)
2 cups chicken broth
3 Tablespoons olive oil
2 -3 celery stalks
4 garlic cloves or minced
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp each of sage, thyme, and rosemary
1 tsp salt
1 tsp ground black pepper
1 medium onion chopped into large slices
Directions:
1. Arrange onions, garlic and celery in the Instant Pot. Place trivet over veggies and add chicken broth.
2. In a small bowl mix olive oil, paprika, sage, rosemary, thyme, salt and pepper.
3. Remove the netting and gravy packet from the turkey breast. Wash the turkey and pat it dry. Rub in turkey breast with olive oil mixture. Place on the trivet.
4. Place lid on Instant Pot. Set valve the sealing. Select the Pressure Cook function and set timer to 40 minutes on High Pressure.
5. Let the pressure release naturally.
6. Carefully remove turkey from pressure cooker. Set on a baking pan or sheet and place cooked turkey breast in the oven under broiler set to high. Broil until golden brown. You want to watch the turkey very closely so it doesn't burn! (I only had mine in for about 5 minutes)
7. To make the gravy, drain the pan drippings through a sieve to catch the onions and garlic. Measure out two cups of the liquid and place back in the Instant Pot. Add a mixture of 2 tablespoons of cornstarch with 1/4 cup of cold water and whisk well. Add salt/pepper to taste. Simmer using the "saute" setting on the Instant Pot until it thickens to a gravy consistency.

This was so helpful. Thank you so much for posting this. I’m going to try this. I’ve heard 6-8 minutes per pound is a good rule and it worked perfectly for you so I feel good about how to do a turkey breast thus thanksgiving. Great video!!! 💓❤️💓

Thank you for this! Is it possible to do this with a frozen turkey breast roast? If so, how should I alter the cooking time?

Hi Rachel! Thanks for watching. I’ve never tried it with a frozen Turkey but I’m pretty sure it’s possible. I would increase the time but it will depend on the size of your Turkey.

Hi Belynda, good question. This particular turkey breast came with an elastic plastic netting which will burn with the heat. Some come with a string that’s appropriate for cooking but not this specific one. Hope that helps!
