I already knew some of these instant window smokes since they are pretty common in the german cs scene but you showed some new way to use them and to counter them. This video is (like litteraly all videos from you) amazing!!! Thanks for sharing this content with us!
Thank you! I was aware that many people knew about these smokes so I wanted to make sure to explain them more in-depth and all the possibilities there are!
I've included all of the lineups in the description. Keep in mind, this is a very different video from my other ones. However I encourage you to watch all of it! There are various videos that talk about the lineup of the smokes (thanks to those who linked them to me!), but this video explores many different perspectives in detail of these instant window smokes from both T side and CT side. I also use data to explain different approaches for implementing the instant window smokes on your team which suggests that not everyone should know all of the smokes. Let me know what you guys think!
sick video, appreciate the work you did researching the topic. great job! i have been following CS for a couple of years now, but it still amazes me to see how much effort you can put into one little detail of the game. and how many possibilities it can offer to approach a whole map.
Thank you so much! You're absolutely right. That's the beauty of CS, where a slightly different detail can offer new options in a map that's been played loads of times.
thank you for explanations! I didn't even know about the spawn numbering, that's pretty cool. The fact that you don't get delay in getting to a point in the map and are able to immediately challenge it, makes these smokes definitely worth learning. ALSO NERDING OUT ON YOUR ANALYTICS
Haha super happy to hear that! The analytics are something that I'll try to incorporate whenever I feel like it's appropriate. Thank you so much as always!
Love this series and style of videos! Think it would really blow up if you hit the right type of thumbnail Regardless: is there a reason you say "pick" for peek?
Thanks! Not particularly but since you mention it: in my mind a "pick" means to try to kill a particular player/position, while a peek is more isolated to peeking a specific spot/position. More common to hear 'pick' in NA at least
havent fully watched the video and not sure if you talk about bindings, but since his lineups dont work with normal jumpthrow, you can use this one, that makes the forwardstep for you: bind "n" "+jumpthrow2"; alias "+jumpthrow2" "+forward; +jump; -attack; -attack2"; alias "-jumpthrow2" "-jump; -forward" you can replace the "jumpthrow2" with anything you like but do it everywhere that says it... you can also replace the "n" with any key you want.
@@mahone_tv yeah i havent tried it with spawning but when i randomly stood on a position and rethrew the same lineup a couple of times the only concistent way was not really going further...
If you dont have the practice mode in your server you can put this commands in your cfg and type "respawn1" to "respawn9" in your console to go to each respawn alias "respawn1" "setpos 1376.000000 -304.000000 -103.906189;setang 0.000000 -133.000000 0.000000" alias "respawn2" "setpos 1376.000000 -208.000000 -99.902496;setang -24.939207 -170.237183 0.000000" alias "respawn3" "setpos 1376.000000 -112.000000 -99.902496;setang 0.000000 141.000000 0.000000" alias "respawn4" "setpos 1376.000000 -16.000000 -103.906189;setang -7.378800 -157.166748 0.000000" alias "respawn5" "setpos 1296.000000 -352.000000 -103.906189;setang 0.000000 -133.000000 0.000000" alias "respawn6" "setpos 1296.000000 -256.000000 -103.906189;setang 0.000000 -133.000000 0.000000" alias "respawn7" "setpos 1296.000000 -160.000000 -103.906189;setang -10.467602 -162.629623 0.000000" alias "respawn8" "setpos 1296.000000 -64.000000 -103.906189;setang -15.043599 -158.596771 0.000000" alias "respawn9" "setpos 1296.000000 32.000000 -103.906189;setang 0.000000 141.000000 0.000000"
I like to be consistent with grenades so I use a bind for it; Put this is your autoexec.cfg : - Walk-jumpthrow bind alias "+jumpthrow2" "+forward; +jump; -attack; -attack2" alias "-jumpthrow2" "-jump; -forward" bind "j" "+jumpthrow2"
I'm trying to figure out these smokes but I can only get them done by crouch walking. But this method is slower than the one used in the video. Also cool but slightly less cool. I'm using this altered jump-throw bind to perfectly press forward at the same time while jump-throwing: alias "+jumpthrow" "+forward;+jump;-attack" alias "-jumpthrow" "-forward;-jump" bind “alt” “+jumpthrow” But my smokes always land a bit short of window. Maybe this is because my server runs 64 tick? Gonna restart my server on 128 and let you know. Edit: yup, these work perfectly on 128 tick
You can do this without binding the forward step and jumpthrow together, you can land it pretty easily just by pressing the two buttons at the same time!
