Actually, you can manually warp to an instadock bookmark and dock immediately by hitting the dock button after warp begins but before landing on grid. Same thing for jumping. Fly safe.

Is it on the right click menu or something? In the radial menu, I see dock greyed out when in warp and it reenables when you exit warp completely

@@GildiiAuscent By default, the "d" key or whatever you have bound to this function does the Jump/Dock/blah...blah...blah. Magic, I know. But give it a try. Believe it or not, you can tell your ship to jump or dock mid-warp. Never use the Autopilot if you wish to avoid being in your pod.

Interesting that it works with a keybind, but not with the menus. Gotta love spaghetti code. This method also works though as one of the 2 legit uses for autopilot, which help you actually not sit in your pod back in the home station :D

@@GildiiAuscent There are no legitimate uses for Autopilot other than to get you killed. I have been playing Eve since 2003, and I quickly learned how to avoid being put into my pod. I would have made the Autopilot useful but CCP did not do so.

I used to manually pilot and hit jump or dock, I found even manually flying I could be left at gates or stations for 15, 20, seconds just holding waiting to jump or dock, I was in range and should have docked or jumped instantly, I guess it was another way for CCP to give the gankers a chance for one extra kill.

ALSO, What if you make manual bookmarks 0m at stargates and add them 1 by 1 for a route plan and use autopilot. Wouldn't autopilot warp to those bookmarls at 0 instead of it warping 15km off to the gate to approahch it and than jump?

I dont understand, what does autopilote do compared to the docking bookmark?

Autopilot automatically starts the docking when you land on an instadocking bookmark. Of you land next to jita 4-4, a lot of people struggle with lag when everything there gets loaded all at once, so you might have to wait several seconds to be able to hit dock. Autopiloting does that for you automatically.

I did meet quite a few people playing the game that have to play on potato mode every day and suffer from it, which prompted me to share this technique :)
