Great guide put up all scams yesterday, made 10 billion in the first hour, thank you!!! Just joking, my favorite market scam is adding a number of zeros to the sell order so it seems to be the correct price incase you have the orders sorted by highest price for some reason. Lost a couple houndret million on a few damage controlls this way. Fun thing: i just asked the guy to give me back the isk and he even replied and gave me back half of hte money. Still houndrets of millions lost but totally worth the experience imo.
Ooh, I did not think of that one. It is risky for the scammer because they have to pay quite a bit in taxes. Interesting that the guy did give you some money back.
This is possible, but when reviewing market orders tonfind examples I found some that were covering for example every single filament of certain level. At some point it has to be a play
Worth mentioning that warp core stabs (and interdictor nullifiers for part 2) can be activated whilst still under cloak - even gate cloak - before you try to warp away
It is a good list. Modules only go so far. Like in most survival type games it is also the mindset. Jumping gates and wormholes. Hands down cheap disposable scout that give eyes on the other side on another char on the same account or second account. Even if jumping an empty pod. All these modules can't come close to the power of eyes on the other side. Every of my jumping gate or hole related significant losses were due to me not bothering with the process and not having eyes on the other side. Try making it a habit to never warp gate to gate in lowsec, nullsec or hole to hole in wh space. For single account players secure containers are great to buffer the loss. anchor them somewhere safe, put loot inside and don't forget to bookmark it. jump and most likely lose the ship and get back scooping the loot in another ship at another time. On route keeping track of how busy systems are to not repeat the loss. Avoiding in system gank. Really use d-scan with having good bookmarks and always being aligned to hit warp if anything decloaks on overview. Even the most implanted, boosterd, skilled and abyssal pimped stealthbomber will need one tick to lock ... seeing the decloak on overview and hitting warp will nearly always win the warp when aligned and paying attention. yes this will change how to approach content and this might be too convoluted to do for some people. like pre-setup sites and making bookmarks and come back with another ship higgs anchored or kite fit depending on what. having hacking sites presetup and jumping from can bookmark to can bookmark between hacking sites makes it very hard to catch. especially when higgs aligned to a safe or next can bookmark. deadspace pockets have fixed warpin so can put corpses or jetcans there to decloak anyone "visiting". But the most important thing is to fly like the loot and ship with fit is already lost. So only fly what you can afford to lose. Try to safe it and deny high zkillboard padding, sure, yes ... but EVE pvp is notoriously unfair and gankers will pick and chose fights they are certain to win.
If anyone reads this and hasn't watched the first video, you really need to do so! These 2 videos have saved my ass twice in the last week. Thanks for sharing, and saving my hard earned ISK!
Great video as usual. I was wracking my brains to think of any other module that might be useful but I'm afraid I drew a blank. The biggest problem seems to be bad luck; you can't fit all these modules but you can always guarantee that, in retrospect, you chose the wrong one. That, of course, is Eve.
That is eve, but, depending on your ship, you can plan for one of the scenarios and prepare. Whoever might try to gank you also does not know how you are equipped and I know a guy that had a battleship for ls belt ratting and equipped to make sure he can escape any attempts. That includes tweaking what works and does not work after encounters

Funny thing is that I still run into players that think I am crazy for keeping my entire, fully researched BPO collection in an NPC station in high sec. 600 plus. I make copies, some use for the invention process, and then I run them out to null sec for building and blap-tooting. I learned this lesson when someone flipped all the player stations in Impass because the CEO of CO2 suffered a case of the retards by giving one person all the keys to the castle and then proceeded to piss the same guy off.
The biggest issue in my opinion about all of this kind of scams is that it made by ccp themselves, that nobody had thoughts about how "player" are gonna exploit such features. And there's tons of such "legal" exploits that keep working for years.
Yup, I am slowly documenting more and more of those, but with them pushing for more and more explosions and risk involved, there won't be really a change
It's not a problem. The game is there for the evil minded/role played players as well. I don't know why would a game need to be only for the white knights.
Actually that’s how role play works though there should be always a evil minded person to run the game “Heroes are easy to build but the show is run by a villain “
If someone has lots of assets in pochven after returning to the game create a ticket and ccp will move your items back into highsec. Happened to a few people i know and the GM did let them even choose which system to move the stuff.
As I thought, so if they had stuff in player stations, it would go poof as well, and a lot of stations did that already with null blocks bashing each other for the sake of pissing off the other side
@@GildiiAuscent not sure about items in structures, those are probably gone as someone else most likely looted it and so then it would be wrong to duplicate a new item to give to who ever lost it. While moving items from 1 hanger to another is a simple thing the GMs in the game can do.
@@GildiiAuscent yes, the skarkon Fortizar dropped upwards of 3t when it died, because someone had kept their t2 bpos in there. Other stations pop occasionally, but most of them are pretty well protected and its generally hard to get large fleets into pochven, so I wouldnt worry too much
Yep, trust no one, not even CCP. I am CEO of a corporation and even I moved my stuff to an NPC station as I realised how vulnerable it was. I was not alone lol. Upwell stations are great as long as they remain and do what you planted them to do, otherwise they are a massive liability. Great video and good advice as usual, keep them coming!
@@GildiiAuscent They are and isogen / Megacyte is filthy expensive to buy in the quantity's i need, but the regular kernite rocks in belts lasts like 2 cycles with a porpoise.
Yup, and those belts got a lot of good stuff. Even in hs they are a good find of you can pull enough from them before they get swarmed, but I heard about the isk value of ns ones and it is very good
@@GildiiAuscent Yeah for example the build cost of the capital bridge module for the rorq is around 1.4b in material cost, and i think half of that is the Megacyte alone, so getting more of that from mining sure is helpful, building a titan so i need a "few" units.
Nice to know that lancers do not attack you if you carry a corpse. However I have seen lancers scoop corpses, recently even. I wonder if you scoop the corpse before they get to it, if they will turn hostile then.
That is interesting, when I dropped one, they did not seem to be interested in it at all, same with the element. As for the picking up when they are going for it, I am not sure, but I would say that probably not, someone else in comments mentioned that it has been years since CCP removed the triggers. Also, picking one corpse up when they go for it is so rare compared to moving triggers in cargo, that I have not thought of that when making the video
@@Sone418 Hmm.. that's interesting. I gotta say I love how this made people start sharing their findings about all the aspects here, it's really nice to get to know things I didn't really consider or notice
For alignment? Yes, I tested that on other ships in the past and it is always the exact align time your fitting window tells you. This is why the trick I decribed in a past video with using autopilot to fly whole fleets of similarly aligning ships works well. I just had those ventures as duplicates to show this off
As a new player I was told align, align, align. When I tested it myself. I found that it did do much for me. I was warping off just as quickly when I did not align. I am glad that you have shown that I was right.
I had so many arguments about this mechanic in the past with people making up reasons why this will work that I thought that this will be a perfect thing for a video to prove it once and for all :D
he is wrong when someone tells you 'align' they mean you press a button called that, your ship turns towards the desired destination where you want to go and continues to move towards it (that is how mechanic of button "align"works )so when you press warp or dock you go into warp instant,I'm pretty sure no one told you to press "align" and then stop the ship and then press warp
@@stefanpetrovic927 I am fairly certain that I do know what I was told. That after landing on grid and start mining I was to align.. Hard to misunderstand that piece of advice.
@@stefanpetrovic927 You would be suprised how many people do believe that aligning and then stopping your ship completely does something for you. People still believe that and will feed that information to new players. Had that argument so many times I decided to include it in the video.
@@GildiiAuscent well i wasn't aware of that lol that is very stupid i mean there is no logic to that then i apologize for the first comment i came off as a fool mate
MJD might be the only thing that checks for the direction as it is a direction based module. However, for aligning, what I described works. Having longer or shorter align time does not matter, as long as it is in the same second, it will work as in the video.
In Eve, stationary aligned makes no difference to just stationary, its just how long a ship takes to get to speed in certain direction, if you start at 0 speed its just the time to accelerate, although the ship visually turns, it moves independent of this "visual" (Source: Me! I have a lot of hours in the game!)
4:39 I believe the lancer corpse collection was removed somewhere between late 2016 through early 2018 - it was after the circadian seekers were added to the NPE (and, later on, the circadian seekers in highsec were renamed to autothysian lancers to distinguish themselves), but either before or at the same time as the introduction of cassandra tyrannos and the drifter reinforcements in high sec. It's hard to know for sure because the change was undocumented.
Don't ever shoot suspects chilling outside of a station, even if they are seemingly just outside of docking range. They are actually sitting just far enough to warp in to an insta-dock bookmark. If you attack them, they will dock up the bait ship and bring out a PvP fit ship of their choice to hunt you during that 5 minute limited engagement timer.
All good stuff 🙂 Very interested to learn about the lancers, you saved me testing it myself if I ever got around to it (and I'm too lazy/busy lol). Keep up the good work Sir!
Thank you! We kept moving off of gates because of those and one of our corpmates taking a popsicle on fleets, so after a while I decoded to go ahead and check it to be able to answer that once and for all :D
Great vid, nice to see the scientific method applied to re examine things and separate fact from fiction. I know it's a lot to ask but can you test corpse and antikythera using anything other than a shuttle or corvette? Also what about corpse against blood raiders?
That would be a good thing to do, having a combat capable ship, I will need to check how they react. As for blood raiders, I think those rats are set to aggress you no matter what
So, I finally got around to check this. Grabbed a kikimora which they should not like, grabbed a popsicle and the element with me, locked them, got scanned by 2 and nothing, thry dod not really mind. So unless you warp to thr drifter wormholes in jove observatory systems, you are good
Usually solo death in hs against some small ships for ships that get baited a lot - barges, orcas, marauders, edencom ships. Usually near that you can see an mtu kill in the same time there as well on the page of the person that lost the ship
Another very good informative video. I nearly lost my Orca to the MTU scam assuming Concord would be showing up. I was fortunate enough to realise I had erred, pulled my drones in and cleared out. If the guy had had a warp disruptor I'd have been screwed. You live and learn.
Just to be clear here, if anybody attacks your MTU while you are missioning never engage. Even if you think you can fight the person, do not engage. You may see them in their killmails as solo, but the vast majority of them have logi backup that you will not be able to force off the field after they arrive.
I am not sure they can get logi in HS to rep them if they go suspect and get a limited engagement timer. That is why they choose nergals, those can run under thr guns and spool up to ridicolous dps to outlast the missioning marauder cap
@@GildiiAuscent they can't... and actually, coming to this vid from your myth debunking on lancers and pre-aligning... I'd like to ask you to cover this precisely. A vid in your cool style to explain hisec repping mechanics cause I can't find a way to explain it. o7
