Connection TIPS --- I have an Instax SP2 and it connects to my cellphone by 1) turning on GPS, 2) turning on WiFi, 3)then opening Instax app and proceed to photo selection from my gallery. Has worked for me nearly every time! In the odd event doesn't work, I simply put my cell on Airplane mode for a good 5-10 seconds, then take it off airplane mode and then it should work. Hope this helps!
If you were using an Instax Share SP-1 or SP-2 with you Instax Share App and want to use it now with Instax Share SP-3, you have to go into Settings and change the Setting for printer model. Otherwise you can get the error message "Models do not match". There is nothing weird about that. The printer also only prints jpegs. Swapping film cassettes? We are talking about photographic film sheets, that is, light sensitive material! It can be done though: Just save the blank sheet that comes out when you put a new cassette in. Then - using a changing bag (people that develop their own films know what this is) - you can take the cassette out, insert the blank sheet and just to be on the safe side rather put the cassette into a light tight container to store it. Then you can put the other cassette into the printer. -- Anyhow, as there is only one film type available at the moment, what would be the point?! Remember you can also use newer Fujifilm cameras for this printer (prints only jpegs though, not raw files). They only have to support any Instax Share printer, and you can use them with this one too (clipping rectangular pictues into the square format you want is only supported on the newest cameras though).
I could not ever get the app to print anything other than photo's just taken, so no possibility to edit and save or print from photo library. A maddeningly frustrating and not fit for purpose device. I tried every possible tip and suggestion and it still won't connect to photos.
Can someone help me here? I bought the Fuji printer s3 and download the app Fuji Share. The problem that I'm facing is in the app, every picture that I choose from my galery turns with another white line ( a side from the white frame) like the pictures aren't fitting the frame. I edits the picture to adjust them, but it's no help. I don't want to waste films on that. What can I do? I have Sumsung Galaxy S7
Does this still give the print offs that retro Polaroid look? I want to be able to print my modern smartphone pictures off and essentially turn them into that old skool retro Polaroid look.
does this have anything to do with your pictures looking like old film photos? or will this thing basically just print whatever you give it... I assume, you need to set your camera up to take vintage photos, and then use this, to replicate an analogue camera, right?
Hi, I just got the SP-2, but the prints come out really dark even though the exposure of the photo is correct. Just wanted to know if you had similar issues...
How do you get it to print without it being over bright? I've been struggling with at least 10films with the brightness and trying to find a balance between too dark and too bright :(
Excellent review! I heard it does “hashtag printing” have you tried that? Also, are the borders always white or is there a way to get branded material on the photo somehow?
Hi Steffon, I haven't heard of that. I'll have to look it up. There are fancy borders on the smaller prints if you want, but I haven't seen them yet for the bigger squares.
Mary Rudy I have the old 210 camera which shoots the wide prints and I love it but I want this square printer for my iPhone shots. They look really good.

In Canada they are $12.99 for a cartridge which gives you 10 pictures. The mini ones are $9.99 for a cartridge of 10. Although if you get mini ones with different patterns on them they are a bit more at about $12.99-13.99 depending on where you shop. Of course you can look online and buy in bulk which will save you money in the long run as long as you use it before it expires. If you keep your film in a cool dark place away from the sun your film can still be good even 3 years after it expires, however I recommend using it well before that for the best picture quality.
Erin... how is working to now, any issues?., do you have another printer like this?, and if you are thinking to get another model to upgrade this one?, if you can share some info, would be great, I'm looking for to get this one, I think is the best (for me), better than Hp, Polaroid or Canon.
Hello Erin I just boughy one yesterday and no issue with thr printing process excpet Ik havinng a lil bit of the problem when it comes to setting up the brightness or darkness of the pic. Any tips pls ty
We are covering LIVE from New York where a guy has been brutally stabbed to death and the NYPD seems to know nothing about it.. Erin Lawrence from TechGadget News
wouldn't recommand this crap to anyone if not for Snapchats photos... Those prints are really rubbish ; Far away from 320 dpi ; Not sharp at all on every 320 dpi pictures straight out of lightroom to iphone 8 plus, the brightness is a joke, 3 stops over on every pic ; really a gaget with Fuji on it
