When you’re new to the world of instructional design and eLearning development, there’s so much noise, gimmicks, unrealistic promises, and conflicting information out there-it’s enough to make your head spin!
But the truth is, building your skills and growing your career in this industry isn’t something you can reduce down to a simple checklist about what keywords to stuff into your resume, what to put in your portfolio, or how to recite the five steps of the ADDIE process.
Building your skills and growing your career starts with having the right mindset.
And that’s why, here inside The eLearning Designer’s Academy, we think a little differently about professional development and career growth. And we want to help you think differently about it as well!
So, in this free 10-day course, I’ll help you reset your thinking about your career and some of the roadblocks that may be standing in your way. Based on my 15 years of real-world industry experience and earned insights, you’ll learn how to think (and act) differently about building your skills, career, and confidence.

I have watched a lot of your How-To workshops and have applied them successfully in my own personal projects to help me learn Storyline and just design principles in general. I’m so thankful to have clicked on this video this morning because I definitely need it. I’ve been working from the time I wake up to way past my bed time (e.g., 6:30 a.m. to 2 a.m.) just so I can complete projects to show jobs that I’m somewhat capable and dedicated. It’s been hard because when I searched through different media (like the instructional design subreddit on Reddit), I feel discouraged because I feel like I don’t have enough skills. “I have to learn this technology and that one,” is what I start thinking, and ofc I end up overwhelmed. I’ve signed up for the course before the video even finished, and I can’t wait to go through it today.

Thanks for sharing and being vulnerable! It's a lot...I know! Take some time to watch the videos...take a few deep breaths...and allow yourself the space to reset mentally. 😮‍💨
