Joe Budden is the first album by American rapper Joe Budden. It came out on June 10, 2003, through On Top, distributed by Def Jam. They recorded it from 2002 to 2003, with Dub B aka White Boy producing, along with other big names like Just Blaze and Lofey. The album includes appearances by Lil' Mo, Busta Rhymes, and 112. When it came out, music critics liked it. Joe Budden started at number 8 on the US Billboard 200 chart, selling 95,000 copies in its first week. Overall, it sold over 420,000 copies in the US. It also made it to number 55 on the UK Albums Chart.

Joseph Anthony Budden II, born on August 31, 1980, is an American who has worked in various roles like media personality, broadcaster, cultural critic, and once, a rapper. He became known as a rapper with his song "Pump It Up" in 2003, which did well on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. This led to the release of his first album, also called "Joe Budden," which did well too. Although it was his only album with a major label like Def Jam Recordings, he later released seven more albums independently, which critics liked. He was also part of a rap group called Slaughterhouse, signed to Eminem's Shady Records in 2012, and they made two albums together.
