Thank you for the light across the universe you shared with us all. I am in awe of you talent. May you be blessed wherever this new road in life takes you.
It's really... something how God has an ironic sense of humor. Ryan I don't know if hearing aids helped you, or if they'll come up with something in the future, but for the people who watched your videos and listened to your playing (including the Master himself), know that you left your mark on us. I'm playing Revelation now on my guitar after I hadn't played it in years, and I'll really pray that one day hearing-loss sicknesses will be treatable and that you'll be back to doing what you love so much to do
Sadly hearing aids don't work for me. All music just sounds like noise coming from a blender to me now. Thanks so much for the kind words, really glad you enjoyed the videos over the years. I've still got 2 more to upload then that's it. it really is a cruel irony, especially at 26 years old
Hi Ryan. I just found you're channel and I can't tell you how much of an inspiration you are for a beginner guitar player. I was wondering why you haven't posted lately? I hope everything is alright.
Hi, Thanks so much for the kind words, really appreciate it. If you look at my pinned comment on this video, it explains why I haven't posted anything in over 3 years
Pure platnum brother time to make a lable and pump out records and cds that song hits right to the soul and core of all of us loved it brother keep it up
Beautiful song man! I like your covers and impros. I would like to make this kind of songs on a no so far future. Actually, I have some demos recorded. You and Joe are a big inspiration for me. Keep rockin!!
Ryan Smith you're welcome. What do you say if some day I send you a Backing Track composed by myself? I have in mind recording an album of instrumental music in the next years. I'd like to invite some musicians friends to collaborate in my project. Maybe we can make a song some day!
Sadly I lost most of my hearing 2 years ago because of tumors on my hearing nerves. Had no choice but to quit playing guitar because I just couldn't hear anything I was playing. They say I'll eventually be completely deaf because of these tumors
I'm crushed at that news Ryan. I thought you hooked up with some band in Europe or something. So sorry to hear about your ears. I just started the guitar again and love your music. Love the themes you have created and to note. I'm going to attempt song 15 and 22. Such beautiful melodies.
@@ryansmith3747 Oh, it’s unfortunate news, is it because of illness, or because of hearing impairment? I look forward to getting better soon. BTW: I really like listening to the songs you play.
Thanks man!! I really appreciate that!! I prefer the 2410 just for the orange color. They both sound the same. I've just got the 2480, which I'll be using on the next video
Ryan, your improv is brilliant as always. A question, can you recommend this guitar for some occasional metal riffing use along with rock/jazz/blues etc. I am keen on investing in a model which helps me to be versatile in possibly any genre of music limited only by my personal capabilities. Hoping to hear from you soon. Thanks \m/
Thank you!! I'd definitely recommend this guitar for rock, blues and jazz. Its not so great for metal. I would say the heaviest the pickups can do is hard rock. But every other genre, the guitar can do really well
@@ryansmith3747 thank you Ryan for taking for your time to reply. I was hoping the JS model would be my do-it-all guitar but based on what you say, I now think it would not be the case. Just looking at the JS models just makes me happy. No other guitar - till date - has managed to do that. Hence I still strongly believe I will end up buying the 2410 or the 2480. Additionally I might get the RG550 Genesis guitar later exclusively for some metal riffage. Is there a guitar you recommend that can - do-it-all ? Or getting the JS + RG550 combo seems more appropriate rather than skipping the JS model in lieu of another possibly more of an all-rounder model, like the JEM series or say even the Musicman JP15? (I am biased towards Ibanez though). P.s. I just am in love the JS shape and tonal spectrum it offers. JEM though versatile, has the classic RG shape, which is not bad perse but not easy on the eye when compared to the beautiful, curvy JS. Also this would be my first electric guitar - all the music theory and practising would be done with the model I shall be going with. This became quite an extensive question - but I do hope you manage to find the time to answer this. Thanks a ton in advance Ryan. Ram.
Well for me the JS guitar is the best guitar you can get. The shape is so beautiful compared to the blocky looking RG and Jem. I own a Jem and a few Musicman JP's but I always end up going back to my JS guitar every time. My second favorite guitar is the Musicman JPX. That guitar sounds just as good as the JS and can do metal aswell. The problem is it has jumbo frets, which I find harder to play on. So again I just go back to my JS haha. Maybe I'm biased towards the JS, I've been playing them for 12 years
@@ryansmith3747 thank you for sharing your first hand experience with me. Its just clear for me. I will check out the JPX and the JS series. See which one I am more compatible with. Once I get the guitar shall let you know Ryan. Thank you so very much. Lots of well wishes and respect from India. Ram.
@@ryansmith3747 I can't believe this! How can such a thing happen to such a talent. I can't even bare the fact that you're stopping the guitar. I hope you recover well. What a waste of such a great guitarist.
Beautiful music, i have a question :do you connect your multieffect to an audio interface and listen to your performance on speakers?! don't you use an amplifier?!
I just use a wire from the headphone jack of the multieffects to the blue line in port on my PC. I record through audacity and can hear my guitar through the pc speakers. Funny thing is I don't even own an amplifier
Lost most of my hearing around September last year because of tumors on my hearing nerves. Had to give up the guitar because I can't hear it. Still devastates me to this day
