A NEW SATRIANI is born !!! I got shivered all over my spine. I'm a big fan of Ryan and I wait impatiently everytime he posts a new video. He makes the guitar cry and plays with his heart. I salute his talent and the hours he spent practicing to reach that level. Thank you Ryan for all the emotions you're giving me. I rarely see anyone hit notes so cleanly. Please keep this videos coming at us !!!
Awesome, just awesome. Specifically the part from 0:54 - 1:06 fits so well to the backing track and I love how it sets itself apart from the riff before and after that. One of the best riffs I've heard for a long time
AWESOME.......Usually when someone shreds without being melodic i pretty much am done listening in about 10secs....Your playing was awesome and melodic as you ripped thru this song with tasteful pinched harmonics, sweet wha wha licks....and KOOl whammy bends....KEEP ON JAMMING
Ryan Smith I did a solo with the same backing track and I was like "damn, I'm good", let me see some people try to do better than me! ... *throws guitar off the window*
+TOTAL KAOS Thanks for the kind words man, really appreciate it!! Actually I was 11 when I very first started to learn and play guitar (been playing for 12 years now) watching your video, you're way ahead compared to how my playing was at that age :)
Tremendously inspiring! And I've been looking for an overall excellent guitar and it looks like the JS2410 is the one. Incredible whammy tricks and use of harmonics. Definitely getting a iron maiden vibe here. Especially Wasted Years.
I put all of your video's on my channel so I can find them love your video's your guitar prodigy your so gifted so talented like Joe my idol tell me if your getting tired of hearing these comments I'm just mesmerized by your guitar playing.!!!!!!!🤗👌👌👌👌👍👍👍👍😘💓💓💓💓💕💕💕💕💕😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
That's a shred if I ever heard one. Brilliant. Outstanding. Total ear candy. How long have you been playing guitar? Are you self taught or did you take classes? Are you an Alien?
Thanks so much man! Really appreciate it!! I've been playing for about 13 years now. I'm self taught, never took classes. Sometimes I feel like I'm an alien haha
holy Molly!! buddy u shred the fuck out of that BT!! love it and your style as well!! as it was mentioned before here, you have really inspiring melodies and ideas :)
I just saw that comment from Joe Satriani himself... maaan... :) I wish all the best for you!! :) and keep rockin´ in your very own way and feeling... you are great! :)
Wow!!! Awesome Stuff! If you're wondering this totally more than justified masanoriutsumi's backing track. Glad i decided to redirect from the original backing video. Cheers from a fellow guitarist from Pakistan. Update: That's quite an expensive guitar bud!
Hey Ryan, Love your GT-5 tones in this one too eh! Awesome! And amazing playing too! Wow! :-) You have gained more than your "letters" in concert-level virtuoso gtr playin'! Brilliant playing... I wonder if a major recording studio in time will want to offer you a recording contract... or an invitation to join a G-3 Tour. If you produce any instrumental CDs, we will be interested in buying them :-) Thanks again.... -- have recently purchased a Vox BB JS Wah (again from watching your videos:-), but have not used this as yet, need to program the GT-5 to get some good tones out of it eh.
Thanks Keith!! My setup is just a Boss GT-5, which I use for the distortion and all the effects (reverb, delay, compressor and equalizer) For the wah sound I use a Vox "Big Bad Wah" pedal. The GT-5 is plugged into the blue "line in" port on my pc and recorded direct using "Audacity" Which is a free recording program
great playing but slow down sometimes haha .. you use those harmonics in such a musical way like Satch.. what other guitar players you like? i tried recently to play something of Eric Johnson and i must say, that is by far the hardest thing to play.. for me
MrCold012 Haha thanks man :) . Yeah I like Eric Johnson too but it's definitely too hard for me. I also like Petrucci, Joe Bonamassa, Steve Vai, I can play a couple of Vai songs but he's another guitarist that's too hard for me to play
Ryan Smith The thing with Vai is that he uses a lot of unusual techniques that are sometimes too much in "shedding area" and are somehow created to be played just live, not alone in the room by yourself haha.. he is a true showman and a awesome musician but now i appreciate more the clean and subtle sound like eric johnson which shows you how much you suck at guitar haha
If I weren't looking at the TV, I'd swear this was Satriani shredding over me playing rhythm. This is really good, mate. You look a lot like a guy I know. Where are you located, what state? I'd love to jam with you dude.
+Patrick Keating My favorite is between the JS2410 and JS1200 but I'll have to go with the 2410. In fact I liked it that much that I bought a used JS2450. It's the same guitar with a different paint job. To me it sounds the best and plays the best of any guitar I own. I don't really use the Jem all that much. I use the music man JPX quite a bit. That's my favorite of the 3 JP models I have.
Excellent !! Not too much Vai or too much Van Halen !! But like me you just stop !! It is hard to work in an ending isn't it ? adding in a few affirming chords will lift the piece even higher.
