So to those of you watching, I don't recommend using the ice shavings and slush from freshly augered ice holes... to weigh down your ice shelter's skirt. The water content is super high, and that shit freezes solid. When you go to leave, you'll quickly find out that your shelter skirt is firmly stuck under 3 or more inches of solid ice...and your shelter isn't going anywhere. And you'll have to painstakingly spend hours chipping and chiseling that frozen shiz free. I made this mistake...ONCE. Sucked. Lol.

It's like you are always staying in the most luxurious camping in extreme environments. I'd pay and will to stay in a structure like that with a smile the whole way. Love it.

I’m not sure what the consensus was in terms of Murray’s gender/condition but I am humbled by the fact that it didn’t seem to matter to either of these young people. I'm sitting here in Georgia trying to fathom putting a tent with a heater in it on a frozen lake and then sleeping in the tent without the ice melting and me drowning. Ice fishing/camping is definitely a bucket list item for me. Thanks for the video!

Having lived in SOCAL on and off for the better part of 24 years has nearly erased all memories of the Great Lakes region.

Out here in Az that was a really big thing! In middle school all the kids i chilled with had one now i got my son into these he's got a few and loves playing with them he tripped out when he found out they had parks and different ramps..

Man, i've camped on the Beach over here so much, through crazy storms. Once it gets past 30mph sustained, and 40-45mph gusts, it is absolutely an insane experience 😂🤣 it's wild af. Like being on a ship or something, just literally man fighting against nature trying not to be destroyed.. There was this crazy storm coming directly at shore, i was watching it and preparing for the event and wanted to camp on the beach, directly in the full force of the storm, so i had very strong poles and tent body, using a rectangular cabin tent, wrapped in a heavy duty tarp with reinforced strong grommets tied securely to the poles, and the edges buried in sand and packed down.. but yea i had to make sandbags to place all around the inside, i had 4 folding chairs bracing the walls, with sandbags lmaoo.. i had another set of poles on the inside bracing the inner frame, tied together and with blankets and sandbags where the poles sat in the inner corners, and i had all the exterior poles tied out in multiple spots, to huge strong wooden posts with double 550 paracord staked out deep in the sand with 2 liter bottles full of sand tied super securely..😂 Literally every single person left the beach except me and i made it through. it was surreal being the only one there, like the world was ending and everyone left but me. very eerie feeling After it finally stopped, The forward wall was buried on a 45° angle with sand, 1.5 feet high. coming 2 feet inward. never seen or experienced anything like that before. i fought that storm for over 48 hours straight and i won. lmao.. my cheapo gear tent tho got actually torn to shreds. (i knew it would, but didn't think it would be that insane!) i mean there was almost nothing left of it. the poles shattered like paper, just little shards and strips of fiberglass breaking apart from sheer force, and just shredded the fabric until it kept flapping so much so hard it just tore off and flew away.. it was crazy sustained winds were over 40 mph with 45-50mph gusts which are just terrifying but exhilirating at the same time! and the rain. hollleee sht just relentless. awesome time tho. very epic i have some footage i managed to film, but could only capture 2 mins. the storm was just too intense constantly. when u see the footage i'm basically yelling at the top of my lungs it's SO loud lmaoo it's like the apocalypse 😂 i definitely recommend going camping in some windy stormy harsh conditions, as for your skill level what people feel ok and safe with. when you know you're safe against the elements, and prepared, like that.. it's an awesome experience.
