It’s not twilight 😂 but definitely worth a listen... If you liked this book try One Second After by William Forstchen. The series is on RU-vid for free and it’s actually based on an emergency EMP situational plan for America.... Great book plus knock reality of our weakness in EMP defense right home
If you liked this, then please look up the One Second After trilogy by William R Forchstein....amazing books with believable characters and really shows how life would be after an MEP attack frightening !!
@Jim-si7sz I'm a believer an EMP is the most likely. It would be well worth your time to Google or RU-vid it. Knowledge never hurts, right? I have extra batteries, walkie-talkies and whatnot in ammunition boxes... because it doesn't hurt to be ready for even a bad storm power outage.
Found this series by pure chance, loved every minute of it. Fantastic writing & character development. By the end it’s easy to forget Derek wasn’t the main character all the way through. Sad it’s over
I think I understand why you wrote these books. So... Thank you. Also, picking Andrew Tell to do the narration... This was a VERY important decision and I don't think that you could have found anyone else to do a better job. The way he brought your amazing story to life... Truly a dream come true. Like, if you had a genie and you had wished that you could have the BEST narrator possible.. As far as I can tell... Andrew Tell.

So true Nikki. I like to listen to the audiobook version of books that I’ve really enjoyed reading. It’s great while doing housework, driving or any kind of downtime. A couple of times, I’ve had to stop an audiobook due to the awful narration. Andrew Tell’s narration is wonderful, it’s never overdone and he manages all of the different characters masterfully. It can’t be easy to seamlessly transition from man to woman, old to young, etc and then keep track of each individual’s established specific voice traits. I’m so glad that his awesome narration is up to the task for this awesome series!
I binge listened to the whole series in 3 days. Love it. Love love loved . Every free moment I had was listening. Can't wait to read more by this author. Very well written, and the reader, Andrew, is really great.
Fantastic book! Highly recommend it but just make sure that you have plenty of time to listen non-stop because you will become as addicted to the series as I have been! So pleased with the ending too. I'm so grateful to the author for sharing her work with us, and to the reader for his seemingly effortless narration of the various characters. My only disappointment is that this is the final book in the series. I really grew to care for the characters and felt that I was a part of their group.

Wow just finished book 4 and I absolutely love the series I wish it would go on though . Inflaytion is making prepping more difficult. Thank God I did not go with my wife's FEELINGS. It started by her saying we can't go camping cause we had no gear . And could not afford all the gear . Well I proved her wrong . Then started the 20 plus years of prepping cause her fear of the 2 k bug. Hell I had no fire arms So I bought a 44 black powder hand gun and a high power air rifle . All I done since then has been with out her knowledge. Till Corona bug time she no clue as to what I had done . Well those starting now are in a big uphill battle. They really need to be creative and seriously have tuff look as to how they spend $$$

OMG I've finished listening to all of it in three days. That's practically binge listening. Please let there be a fifth and sixth book in this series, bringing in more characters. I'd like to learn more about who was holding up in the hospital, why that person shoot at the bad guys, also what happened to those people who handed Derek over to the governor. And maybe explore the story line on why the pharmacy in the hospital hadn't been looted and was still locked up. A possible story line could be if things was starting to get back to normal but people in other states wanted what California had and fighting for resources and greed for power and somehow Derek and his group (and possibly other new hero's) were called upon to help the new governor to uphold the Constitutions and help restore peace and we get to see that Matt in the restoring world could be like the head of technology or something. Idk, I'm just hoping there's more for us learn about the event and characters in this post apocalyptic world. I really enjoyed the books. Thumbs up! 👍👍👍
I I really enjoyed this series and admit to having binged it. Audible books are how I read these days as my sight diminishes. I enjoyed your clear writing style and the subject matter. I found myself finishing sentences and sometimes getting excited enough to say shoot him shoot him. Again thank you I look forward to reading your works in the future.
I sort of expected a "family" download after the huge deal with the emperors. I know I was traumatized after 14 year old Dylan was forced to kill someone so violently. And, the kidnapped children being saved and Frank and Sara's previous concern regarding the emperors being put to rest, etc. Regardless of my "expectations" I truly enjoyed the hours upon hours of pure escapism. I think I got to know these characters so well that I wanted to know how they processed things. I guess you could have written 20 more hours and your audience would still be captivated! I equate it to a great television series when you look forward to next week's episode EVERY week and don't want it to end. Thank you SO much for sharing your gifts for our enjoyment.
Amazing job I definitely thought I wouldn’t like this book as much as the previous three books but this might’ve been the best installment thank you so much it’s made my trip on the road as a truck driver way more enjoyable
Truly enjoyed this series... The narrator Andrew Tell was the best I have ever listend to and the way he can just switch between all of the characters was amazing!! - I didn't want this story to end, hope they will continue on with the Series in the future...

I enjoyed these books - I listened to them at work, and they helped pass the time well! That said...if I took a shot every time someone's eyebrows "shot up" or "knit together", I'd die of alcohol poisoning, haha. Edit: as I hit post, Matt's eyebrows shot up again 😂

Thanks for posting this book. I really enjoyed the non stop action. It was easy to stay focused on the story. Straight forward action. I love it. Great narrator, as well. I'm going to take a look at "Dare to Resist". Hope it's as fun as this series. Thanks again.

Exceptionally written and narrated. It was great watching all these characters transition into. Their new reality. The resourfullnes of the main players was awesome. I just loved how they problem solved the most seemingly impossible situations. Great ending

It’s hard to find a good audiobook on this app posted by the author. This is a fantastic series. I gotta say as a truck driver who lives off these free audiobooks and most of the time a few in a day.. it’s nice to have a well written, fantastically realistic book to hear that’s not a romance novel.

It was like a prediction. It was plain to see for some. I saw it in 2012. It was coming. You probably saw it too, back then. I'm glad I didn't get to go Jan 6th, bc I would have loved to see the Capitol, and I had no clue people couldn't legally go in to a place where Congress served the people. Plus cops removed barriers. 😮 I saw it live. 🥵😡
