my son was diagnosed with sandifer syndrome at 3 months old. i can’t imagine the pain they feel. he was on omeprazole daily until he was almost 2 and weaned off it amazingly. he eats without too many issues now at 7 (almost 8)! good luck and i personally felt like when it would happen and he would appear stuck, id sit him upright bc it is such a strong digestive reaction.
That happend to one of my sons twice. Within 10 minutes of each other. It was so scary. I tried to explain it to the pediatrician but he didn't know. Thanks God it only happens that day twice but I'll never forget how scary it was!!!
Happened to my son 3 times when he was almost 2months-4months old. I tried to explain it to his pediatrician and they figured it out. Luckily it never happened again because I had my baby hospitalized for 3days so they could monitor him. Had me so scared because the spasms lasted longer than this baby here, maybe up to 20-30secs. Never could get it on camera though.
Thank you for sharing this so so much my niece is this age and going through the same and we keep being told it is just her emotions… prayers for you all
Hi my son is 5 months old and doing exactly the same as she in the hat video. Have u managed to diagnose ur babe? We are having tests on friday im so affraid. Who told u its emotions? Doctors or just some people?
My baby is 7weeks old and I just noticed this two days now. I searched and searched for videos that look similar to what she was doing, to so the er. No luck until I came across this video of your beautiful baby. Can I ask please, did you find out what the diagnosis was? My baby girl is doing the exact same thing. Same exact movements, sounds…
Do you have any updates from pediatrician? Have they tried putting him on an antacid? Did he stop once you picked him up? There are babies who do this and drs have no explanation. I pray you get answers soon.
What did this end up being diagnosed as? I am currently in the hospital with my daughter who is 10 weeks old. She is hooked up to an eeg. My daughter does this exact same thing. Was it infantile spasms or sandifers?
Our 2.5-month-old daughter also made movements like the babies in this video. Me and my wife were very nervous. Then when we went to the doctor, the doctor said it was normal. He told us that these movements are part of development. Please don't be afraid right away if you are watching this video. It's not West syndrome or an epileptic attack. We were very scared, but the truth came out with the EEG test and blood tests. Just the resistant moro reflex and harmless. Parents watching this video, don't worry. Because these movements are part of baby development. These babies are just so sensitive. It expires in 6 months and is not permanent, no need to worry. I suggest you do all the necessary tests without worry.
My daughter had infantile spasms as a baby. It looked just like that second video with tensing and she was put on Sabril and a few other medicines. It was missed during the first couple EEGs until we switched to Duke. Best wishes. 💚
My daughter looks exactly like the second video as well. We are in the hospital now and they are saying Sandifer Syndrome. She didn't have an episode here . Makes me wonder if I should be fighting for more tests
@@hottnspiceyy we were just discharged from the hospital with the same diagnoses after a scary episode at home and 24hour EEG at the hospital. I hope it is not seizures.
I have never heard of them. They look just like infantile spasms. My 2 1/2 months old son started to show those movements 4 days ago. Three clusters the first day then, just one the next day, no spasm yesterday and one cluster today. We took him for an EEG two days after the spasms started and we will get the results tomorrow, praying not to be IS or West syndrome
I noticed that his hands and arms were doing that right after you birthed him! I just found your page tonight looking for help to have a successful home birth. Now I’ve seen several videos. My Prayers going up for you tonight. May the God of peace comfort you during this time as you are walking through a life storm. There is a scripture that has given me great comfort and leaves no room for regret when we have to walk through so much unknown making big decisions. “A man's heart deviseth his way: But the LORD directeth his steps.” Proverbs 16:9 KJV When we have to walk through hard days, not knowing if we are making the right choice because we don’t know what our future holds.. we know God does and as we give our burdens to him, and plan our way the best we know how, we know that HE directs our steps. There is no room for regret, just trust and he will see you through to the end and I pray you fee his love and warmth and peace that passes ALL understanding.
Nothing was abnormal in the birth video. I understand that you meant well, but you need to stop giving a medical opinion, until you're qualified to do so.
I can see how the first one could possibly be mistaken for the moro reflex but let me tell you that if I saw a baby do what was in the second clip I would immediately think something wasn't right. Im almost done with nursing school and I would report that to my charge nurse.
en estos momentos estoy internada con mi bebe ámbar de2meses de nacida en pereira montevideo mi bb hace lo mismo pero al dormir da mucho miendo cuando hacen eso
Currently at the ER with my son because he started doing this tonight. He has had it happen once every now and then and then wouldn’t happen again. But tonight he started doing like the second video and it would happen every 5-10 minutes for over 30 minutes straight. And it also only happens when he lays flat on his back.
How often did your son get it? Was it with certain positions? Is there anything that you did to avoid it happening, like triggers? My two month old daughter has it and it started at the end of her first month with an episode here and there and only when laying down on her back. Now its every time she's on her back and even when I hold her up. I was also told this is caused by reflux. Does your son still have this?
@@ireneflores459 hi, my son is 5 months and does exactly the same. It also happens only when lying flat! We are having him tested for epilepsy on friday. Do u have any update on ur bub?
@@lunaticatiga hi ! Sorry to bother you. Do you have any update ??? My daughter does the exact same thing, only when laying flat on her back. I have an appointment on Monday but so so scared !
@@camilleclemenceau5398 my son would do the exact same thing up until about 7 months. He only does it when he gets scared now. My doctor didn’t seem to worried. What did your doctor end up saying?
Educate yourself before you shout silliness please! Families with IS or sandifers syndrome have the pain to look at their babies struggling. So it's not that simple . Many times they get missed because "it's called moro reflex!!!!" And the babies have serious delays in development.
