INTEGRA BUILD- assemble Part 4 , IT RUNS !!!! 

It's so refreshing to see a well built DC2 with the good ol B Series still in the bay. It actually stands out in a sea of K-swapped cars. Loving the GSR content. Awesome to see so much attention to detail and thoroughness.

Looking beautiful LHT! The first start up went as smoothly as you could ever hope for. There are always a couple little things to tidy up. Looking forward to the intercooler piping and exhaust fabrication. She's getting close to completion! Best of luck to you guys!

I had a red 98 GSR back in the early 2000s and this build series is a nice trip down memory lane to those days working on the 'teg as we called it. My favorite channel on RU-vid - always look forward to the videos!

An observation if I may... A new power steering reservoir and cap would really compliment all the other new and refurbished bits. Seems to be one of the only original parts and the bright new brake fluid reservoir really makes the PS res look..noticeably old lol. A car to this caliber I just think when you pop the hood..it's so often overlooked but for the extent you have gone with this build it kind of makes sense, IMO. Anyway thanks for the great vids, guys. Really enjoying everything.

I remember seeing/hearing in another video (RHD Kev yellow integra?) that you should not press the clutch on the first start of a fresh motor. Something to do with thrust bearings?And I know you mentioned that you guys were bleeding the clutch so they were unloaded. Can you guys elaborate?

Awesome build. Just started watching. Quick question, in Hondata, on your tables what do you set the timing to for these B series ? As I'm sure you know with Neptune, Hondata, and Crome, there are additional ignition advance tables. Which I'm having trouble finding information on. Most of them increase timing by around 5* at 4000rpm, and anywhere between 7-9.5* at 6000rpm...and this is (on top of) the ignition on the tables you build. So say you have 18 degrees in it at 10psi at 6000rpm, the advanced ign tables will be adding an additional 9 degrees on top of your 18*... Just seeing if you zero those out and adjust your base tables accordingly, or?

Hey John. I just bought the exact same Spal pusher fan for the driver side. I have the same setup as you. Did you use a relay to power the pusher? Also how are you activating this fan? Is it using the driver or passenger side oem fan plug to activate the relay/fan?

Awsome Integra. Super clean the way I like to keep a car if I can (minus all the expensive bits, I'm poor). I have em2, and it always loses a lot of smoothness when it heats up, similar to way I hear this car. Probably the aluminum block. Honda has gone crazy with cast aluminum. My em2 has cast aluminum oil pan even (WHY???). Maybe you can torque head bolts with engine hot or something, or adjust valve timing with hot. Aluminum is much more sensitive to heat and deforms more compared to steal/cast iron blocks I think (not sure on that exactly). Maybe, assemble engine, run it up to temp, pool valve cover, loosen head bolts, so head can reposition, then torque down evenly, then adjust valve clearances, while still hot, run again heat up, just releive some head bolt torque, re-torque and do valves, if valves not moving, and head bolt torqued, then leave it. I don't know maybe that cause warped head/block haha.

Do you recommend a fan shroud for the spal fan? Any special wire harness needed to run the spal fan on my rsx? It's a 13 inch pull type spal.

I don’t like the open gears on the valve/ timing cover. I always thought the cleaner way to do it was the two circular cuts. But this is way cleaner than anything I’ve ever built so who am I to nit pick lol. Love the channel, thanks for the content

My 98 c5 ticks on cold starts. I really should do a leak down but I’m almost sure it’s the lost motion assembly and i need to send the head out for the turbo in 6 months.

engine bay had me drooling with the wrinkle black valve cover and skunk2 bits but then you switched to red valve cover... i get it. i know its more appropriate and most people prefer the red type r but i love the black. everythings perfect though, great job once again.

the fan on a dc2 teg is 989 cfm the fan pictured is only a 500 cfm you would need 2 of those

ew worm gear clamps are the worst. i completely disagree with your opinion on them looking better than t bolt. not to mention they strip out super easy. t bolt clamps can easily be oriented to where the bolt is hidden as well as being flush with the edge of the coupler. im not sure what the difficulty is there

T-bolts 4-lyf, sucka! Seriously though, t-bolt clamps look better if you can hide the buckle, no notches in the band to break up the look. But of course you wizards are going to make the worm clamps still look good.

I see you guys use the timing cover. It drives me nuts seeing people not have the lower cover on. Anything could fall down there and ruin their day.
