Lmfaooo, not one bit homophobic. One of my closest friends I consider my brother is gay. Your problem is you can’t laugh at things, you sound like a boring person to be friends with.
That’s ok, I’m sure my ins. co. knows this and will use my dashcam video to deny your claim when you get hit because other drivers can’t figure out what your doing.
The one the showed should be legal but cops and judges are so retarded they would say its all one light so they are not separated even tho the actual leds are separated to requirements they just happen to be behind a pannel. Nowhere in the law does it state it cannot be behind a shield. If it says cannot be part of the same module, what defines a module? U could say the motorcycle itself is one model. They always say beyond a reasonable doubt but when i present reasonable doubt they pull out the book and quote it as if thats that. Its like getting a ticket for making a u turn when you never actually made a u turn, you told the cop u we’re attempting to make one before u got side swiped by the guy behind you. I hate cops with a passion. Respect is given on a case by case basis

@@abdulwasay940 of you buy it from a dealership there is just a simple contract (varies from different dealerships and for new and used bikes), if you are buying it from a private person you need to do a paper that shows that you are buying that motorcycle legally whit the person that is selling it to you. In every case you need to later do insurance and a stupid tax wich the price depends on the power of the engine. For the process of the driving license if you already have an American one I don't know how it works. In Europe you have Am for 50cc (you can do it at 14 A1 for 125cc (you can do it at 16) A2 till 48hp (you can do it at 18) and A3 without limitations (you can do it after two years of having the A2 or directly if you are above 24) . The written exam you can do it right away if you already know how to drive, for the practical exam you have a minimum amount of hours of riding with an instructor before you can get your license
I understand the looks aspect of it but please if your buying a tail light with integrated signals make sure that the signals are bight and have large signal, I’ve almost hit bikes before because they want to change lanes on highways but you can’t see their super small signals. Be safe!
Yeah usually cops are cool about that it's not a big concern. Personally I find signals kinda useless in day more often than not and I think hand signals are the more visible option

@@19910313 no, I can outride most on a track, and I’ll beat any of them in a straight line. I was just making a joke about the speed lol, who’s got your panties in a bunch? Do you need a hug?
I don’t care how ugly they are, I want them to be seen! Those tiny or integrated indicators sure make your bike look nice and clean, but they are hard to see. And in direct sunlight nobody is going to be able to tell whether your indicators are on or off.
My secondhand R3 came with them pre-installed which I thought was cool but now that I know the reasoning for the stock signals... Yeah I might just undo them now lol
Laws made on signal distance didn’t just exist because it makes money. It exists because it needs to because drivers needs to be able to identify if you’re just tapping your brakes, have your hazards on, or actually turning as far as 300-500 feet away. Put them too close together and drivers will have difficulty telling the difference.
I feel personally attacked by the fact that he said gixxer boys who have their geds!😂 Im from South Africa and have a ged Literally was going to buy a gixxer 600 as my second bike but no more 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Wish they found a better material for a lense than plastic tho. Whole auto industry needs to get all their material scientists and engineers to get something more timeless and better than plastic
honestly, this is one area where the regulations *do* make some sense. if someone doesn't spot your signal and goes right into your lane as you're coming over? It'll be their fault, but it'll be you who looses regardless. So a certain amount of clarity is a good thing. Though I do which companies would try to find nicer ways of accommodating it.
😂😂 I have a GED. I didn’t graduate Highschool. But…i also have two college degrees and am a college professor teaching business, marketing, finance, entrepreneurship, and branding
In NY/NJ you only have to worry about that if you are doing something that catches a cops attention. The cops don't bother bikers that often even if you have no plate on your bike. But that's after 3 years of experiences and seeing the amount of illegal bikes, or bikers without a license on the road and no one has gotten in trouble.
In Michigan you aren't required to have turn signals on your bike. Law says handsignals are legal alternatives. Federal regulation is just for manufacturers selling new motorcycles
As a commuter, integrated turn signals are one of the things I hate most on the road. Some manufacturers make them so bad you will never know when the signal is on. That, and morons who turn on hazard blinkers in the rain make an awesome combo.
Having integrated lights with a spoiler looking part for the turn signals, could even do the light pattern going across for fun… …AND not crashing would be a benefit lol Not saying it would be anywhere near as sleek and stylish, but it’s not only your life at risk in collisions. Not an enforcement officer, so do you. Just a reminder - and maybe a fun option to meet the two in the middle :)
Turn signals and brake lights are your primary means for communicating with the vehicle behind you. You want them to see you and to know what you intend to do. Don't make that harder with a squinty little all in one brake/turn signal unit.
They really expect me to compromise the rear end of my bike with those ugly signals. Integrated tail light is the way to go, riding 3 years and never had an issue
My buddy bought integrated tail lights that combine rear light, brake light and turn signals. He still uses some very slim aftermarket "normal" turn signals that basically disappear when you don't look too close
“Combined lights refer to those that have a dual function, meaning they can act as both brake lights and turn signals on a motorcycle. In the context of the regulations for rear lights and turn signals in California, if a motorcycle uses combined lights, there is no specific requirement for separation between the brake lights and turn signals. Instead of having separate lights for individual functions, combined lights use the same light source to emit both the brake signal and the turn signal. This means that there is no rigid separation established between these lights, as they are designed to work together in a single unit. In summary, if a motorcycle in California uses combined lights that function as both brake lights and turn signals, there is no specific separation required between them, as they are designed to work together as an integrated light unit.”
That doesn't exist in the Philippines, which annoys the hell out of me, when a bike is infront of me; i can never tell whether they're hitting the breaks, or just have the static light on. I didn't include turn signals cause people on bikes here never bother to use them, makes it a living nightmare for people like me who drive cars.
Unpopular opinion, integrated tail lights look bad and can be dangerous. Looking bad would be the subjective part. But objectively, making your lights pull double duty means you lose out on parts of both. You get less separation making the different lights, that are already relatively small to begin with, harder to distinguish, and you lose out on brake lights in order to have indicators.
The law makes sense, with most bikes, they're already really small to see in their own, but with the tail lights, most drivers hardly notice that they are slowing down and that might cause a shit ton of recks. Anyway, that's my opinion anyway.
It’s so those of us that DO look have at least a vague idea of what you might be doing…assuming of course that the signal switch doesn’t tax your understanding.
Here’s the thing, that’s an inspection violation, not a moving violation. You cant be pulled over for it. As long as you have an operating brake light and blinkers, thats all the law requires. The standards that manufacturers have to follow when producing/selling the bike are different.
In 1971 I shortened the stalks on my turn signals on my Triumph Trident, in 2007 I installed short stalk turn signals on my Yamaha R-1, and over the years no one ever noticed. ( yes, I still own both.)
Not entirely sure how BMW got around that regulation. the S1000rr's I know for a fact do not have a traditional brake light. Instead it has 2 turn signals that together turn on when the brake is applied
facts here in NC signals have to be min 9" apart from each other but integrated taillights are not illegal here in NC so its fare game but kind want to those states that integrated light are illegal how to the dealerships get bikes that have integrated tail lights from the factory ?
I should have seen this before I chopped my rear fender and put a bullet tail light with two mini led turn signals right next to it. It looks sick but it all fits in a 4 inch area
i mean there not illigal to have, but having em without blinkers that stick out is as you pointed out there are some that are wide enough to be legal without
You know, . . . . .. I have ridden bikes for 54 years and I just cancelled my insurance because I've had enough of ALL THE BULL SHIT ! Cell phones, insurace rates, cost of maintenance, other peoples driving of their bikes, cars etc.
Those crappy brake light turn signal combos are hard to see during the day. Especially those horrible cheap ebay units. I bought a Superhawk with that set up. Was a clear lens type. It looked tacky and cheap. I replaced it with a used clean OEM and added knockoff NSR 250 turn signals. Has a nice clean almost factory look. They only stick out about 2" or 8" to the Gixxer boys measurement guide.
That's cool! You don't need visibility on a motorcycle. Cars always keep plenty of space behind you and will anticipate your next move flawlessly, regardless which direction you will turn. Truck and SUV drivers are even more considerate towards your safety.
Why do turn signals half to be 4 inches away from the break lights when in cars they are either right next to each other or combined. I have a solution. Allow the turn signals and break light be right next to each other and make the turn signals be amber, be arrows, and have an animation to them, that would make it a hell of a lot more clear.
I got stock turn signals and nobody ever sees I’m turning they’ll just wait until I turn. Idk if it’s just where I live or what but having smaller turn signals shouldn’t matter..as long as you have them.
Most states don’t require turn signals. Shit Ive have brakes only for maybe 12 years now on different bikes and not once have I been pulled over for brakes. Speeding is a different story
Yeah. But some design with integrated turn signal and brake light are fine. For example honda wave 100, wave 125, xrm 125, rs 125 and yamaha mio (except for mio aerox), yamaha nmax sold in Philippnes.
Good thing most the cops in my city quit, retired, or gave up. Only place I had problems was california; but I mean it's kinda expected with how horrible that state is in general. They gave me a 3 day citation to leave the state and if I was pulled over after I would be inpounded.
At least in majority of the states, unless the officer decides to be a real ass, they won’t pull you over just for that. Now if you get pulled over by something else, say speeding, then they might tack that on there but majority have better things to do then measuring blinker distances.
You know why they are not legal? Cause when you have the right indicator and the left indicator soo close to the center... A car driver following in a bit of rain or fog will barely be able to differentiate between you going left or right. On a highway, if you are planing to change to the right lane and the car behind you mis interprets it as left, that car will have a broken frame rail, the car driver will have whiplash, and you will likely be dead in pieces from an 80Km/h crash
