First people's comment is correct, he shouldn't, but it is enough for most casual tasks. The second one is not correct, as he probably could use that computer to perform heavy and demanding tasks. Then he would need a better cooler than the stock, for a lot of reasons, not only cooler temperatures, but less noise, avoiding thermal throttling and increasing the longevity of the CPU. People just like to criticise.

I know this comment was a while ago but the hyper 212 is actually a good value cooler it can come close In performance To £100 coolers shown by tests and is also very cheap and quiet so can’t lie that second part of comment is irelivant

I would also like to know cause even though it can, Intel turbo boost is to 5ghz but depending on thermals is whether your reach it. That's why I'm under the heavy impression that you need a cpu water cooler.

@@sammcewan6556 hey guys, im a first time builder have been for a while now i have an i7 10700k plan on overclocking with an AIO later but umm i have corsair rgb vengeance 32gb dual channel so 16gb each and rtx 3080 1440p 240hz samsung g7 monitor i have 2 exhaust fans from be quiet and 3 front intakes oh z490 msi gaming edge wifi MB BTW auto settings for that board is bad but like no where near as bas as others honestly (there are some bad z490's on the market)but if u can cool your shit our going to be fine bro lol AIO's are better but not neccasary at all unless ur pushing like 5ghz all core or something and streaming etc but for gaming its fine lol its all within intel's specs but gamers nexus is very reputable and dont normally bait people but hey half is truth and half is BS, and i have the hyper 212 rgb umm so the cooler is fine even with auto z490 motherboard settings, however it took me a fair while and benching to make it work lol and i almost bought the AIO BUT.... no need so my ambient temp is gunna play a big part i mean as for the core temps at 4.7ghz boost its been up and down but i have set my case fan curves etc ive done so much too much to mention here anyway 9well went through so much in my mind and questioned myself and watched jayz2cents on undervolting etc dont bother unless u have 7700k or something lol and also the hyper 212 rgb is not the best but its capable of higher rpm's then the black edition im pretty sure from memory and is identical to the be quiet dark rock look be quiet make grea fans but for the price difference not cpu coolers lol anyway playing warzone with a 22c ambient and my cpu fan speed at 100% when it hits about 68c but this is me its going to vary but yeah 144fps no probs temps go up another 2 or 3 during unlimited frames set to on so yeah i once thought i didint put enough thermal paste and it scared me and i was like wait why is this like working fine but then this isnt.... wtf anyway being a first time builder :( which im still sad about took a while to catch onto bios fan setup etc lol so yeah its all experience, so max full load multicore temps 72c maximum during cinebench R23 and warzone see's 69c max on one or 2 cores this is max settings and everything at 1440p so yeah its a good cooler and im using arctic silver 5 thermal paste hahaha so yeah but im gunna get mx-5 with my AIO etc i plan to push my system further btw Arctic silver 5 isnt great but its not as bad as people say for an old cheap paste its good if ur trying to save money just bundle stuff with case exhaust fans perhaps you dont really need an AIO,

i think u can go for it, depends the software you use, without a proper GPU NVDIA/AMD some hardware acceleration you will not able to use , as you will experience some slowdown. So, after you have tried the integrated GPU and not able to have a smooth performance you can buy a GPU

You 100% do, the hyperthreading alone adds 8-15c for me. Pushing temps pretty high gaming.

You REAAAAALLY need an aftermarket cooler for this cpu, temps with stock cooler are insane. Is a 4.6GHZ 8cores/16 threads CPU and in fact, this one is hotter than the K version, because this one just one uses thermal paste beetween the chip and the encapsulation, and the 10700K is welded, like i9s and Rycen CPUs
