TDP specified in the data sheet is at Base Clock (2.9 GHz.) not turbo clock (4.8 GHz.) meaning that to use this cpu at full capacity you need to replace the stock Heat Sink to the new one that have TDP capacity about 130 W.

He didn't. He placed the fan in the original position (as exhaust). I suppose that he removed the fan for having more space for connecting the CPU power cable. But not sure.

People still like intel. 8 core cpu with stock cooler 🤔. Amd wraith coolers r good comes with nice heat sink n RGB as well. With Amd 3800x client could have saved some money. Still he chooses amd GPU.

You don’t really need to install the extra CPU 4pin. My z390 has 2 8 pins for the CPU and I only have one hooked up and still get 5ghz. I believe those extra pins are for extreme overclocking like lith liquid nitrogen or something. Us normal users just don’t need all that power.

@@XxViciousxX it will not work at the same speed consistent because of the power-hungry that CPU is you may see that at once but in performance test or workload test the clock will fluctuate in less speed with a combination of good cooler and on the other hand intel will void the warranty if the CPU gets overclocked without taking "a special plan" for it which will cost extra on prior to CPU price.

His build are weird. He pair ryzen 2700 with rtx 2080ti. And intel i7 10700 with 3yrs old rx580. Rtx 2080ti won't be able to give you its full performance with ryzen 7 2700. And rx 580 doesn't require so high end processor like i7 10700.x
