Now, the Laptop I used for testing was thermal throttling the CPU a bit despite using the Performance Fan Mode.
The Laptop was equipped with an Intel i7 1165G7 which is a 4 core 8 thread low power CPU, meaning it only uses about 15-28 Watt depending on the laptop model. (Stable 28W for this model!)
So keep in mind, that YOUR Lapop might be a bit faster or a bit slower than
what you can see in the video.
All games were recorded with an elgato Capture Card at 60FPS and Full HD.
In quite alot of games the Frametime graph was all over the place and frametimes seemed to be bad, some of it is probably driver related.
This might of course be fixed in the future as the Chip is brand new at the time this video was made.

This is so weird. I literally just bought a laptop with this chip to allow for very basic gaming. But it’s performing terribly. Low on Fortnite looks sub 15fps and subnautica on lowest settings is probably sub 10fps. Going to return for a cheaper laptop if I can’t get it working faster as only paid for the iris xe to get gaming.

I have a HP ProBook with Intel Core i5-1135G7, RAM 16 GB and Intel Iris Xe. I tried to play Apex and I got an average of 40 fps with 720p and low settings. Although the fps were low, the game experience was pretty smooth and I got quite impressed also by the fact that my laptop didn’t overheat at all (

Thanks for the very informative video! I'll be getting this laptop but with the MX350 GPU which might yield a slightly better performance for standalone gaming. I'm also planning to get a GPU dock and use it docked with a GTX1070 so it'll be interesting to see how much that improves things and whether the CPU would be a bottleneck.

Awesome video. Do you think it would get 60fps at 1080p in emulators like pcsx2 and dolphin? 11th gen supports integer scaling which is perfect for pixel games so if it can handle more powerful emulators it would be perfect for a multi-console emulation pc.

I have a 15.6-inch Asus Vivobook, with 12 ram and expandable, the speed of the ram is 3200 mhz, with a processor, core i5 11th generation, iris xe graphic, and it runs to 1080 Genshin Impact with the visual effects ( medium-high) at 30 FPS. I bought a Lenovo Ideapad 3 with the i51135g7 with the Intel XE graphics. Running older games and emulators works great. More modern games such as Tropico 6 run with a respectable 30 fps on medium settings.

So you don't really need the best graphics card to run Planet Coaster? I'm looking for a new laptop, maybe the HP Victus 16 (Nvidia RTX 3050). But if I play the game on medium with an Intel Iris Xe, it should be acceptable if the CPU is 16gb RAM? Or what should I look for in the laptop if I choose the Iris Xe?

The iris xe is not really made for gaming. It CAN game. But in planet coaster the game itself is the biggest problem. In big parks even a super fast pc can't deliver good fps. But if gaming is important to you you should consider a laptop with a dedicated GPU (like your mentioned up victus)

Although this performance is not good, but if we consider the fact that this is an integrated gpu, those integrated gpus, which couldn't run the games at all without crashing, no matter how lower the settings, then this is a pretty awesome deal. Note:- For those of you who are thinking why such an expensive laptop has such a weak gpu, I mean you can easily get a 1650 around this price, then they must know that this laptop is not made for gaming, it is made for portability, awesome screen etc. It is just that if u want to game for sometime, u can do it.

My friend! thanks for the video, I'm LOL player and I recomend set max 60 FPS and medium graph, without sync and anti-l, because once you enter in a Team Fight with 5 vs 5 players and all skills and magic around the screen, it will decrease under 30 FPS if you play ultra graphics. Because the laptops which have this gpu and are priced higher, are not built for gaming in first place. They are portable laptops with awesome screen, premium built and having an integrated gpu, just in case the person wants to game too. Also, this has oled screen. Well it will be acceptable. It depends on what you expect. Why do you buy this laptop? For working? University? For fun? For gaming? What's the main purpose? And why don't you buy an entry lvl gaming laptop with a gtx 1650. Too expensive? Too big?

The specs that I'm getting with this current laptop, its hard to find on a gaming laptop cause I'm paying more for the graphics card instead of the specs. I own device with i7-1165G7 with Iris XE and I tested only League, but these framerates doesn't exist. I have constant drops to like 20 fps, so the game is not playable in 1080p.

Great, but goes to play : Assassin's creed 1 and 2 / Black flag / Rogue Flatout and 2 F.E.A.R The Witcher 2 Half life 1 and 2 + DLC BioShock 2 Call of Duty: Black Ops etc Fallout: New Vegas Mass Effect 2 Batman: Arkham City Dishonored Max Payne 3 Sleeping Dogs Dark Souls Simply, if you like old games, it goes great. There are extremely many games to choose from. I recommend having a 4:3/ 5:4 monitor to really enjoy the games :)

I brought HP pavilion 15 with 1240P and intel iris xe graphics card...12GB RAM... I downloaded ac revelations and with max graphics it provided me 20fps and lowest 35fps.... I saw many videos of gaming test for this and it showed 50-60fps in GTA V max settings and many good games like RDR2 in low settings but AC REVELATIONS has concerned me regarding this. no, this is a 4 cores CPU, 4700u has 8 cores. but intel tiger lake does have better iGPU, so if you are a light gamer, I will recommend tiger lake. But if you looking for better over all performance, definitely go with amd.

I wouldn't consider streaming With such a laptop with integrated graphics. Won't be any good... :/

Honestly wild what's possible with integrated graphics these days. It's not AAA game capable but this chip is in a Thinkpad, we can run these games on a fucking Thinkpad
