Shares of Intel (INTC) are lower in after-hours trading on Thursday after the company posted its first-quarter earnings, revealing a revenue of $12.72 billion, a gain of 8.8% year-over-year. Revenue narrowly beat estimates of $12.71 billion, however, the company missed out on estimates for its second-quarter forecast, placing revenue between $12.5 billion to $13.5 billion against an expected $13.63 billion.
While Intel may be down, some still believe the chipmaker is certainly not out.
The Futurum Group Chief Market Strategist Cory Johnson joins Market Domination Overtime to discuss Intel's earnings and how the company may still be able to turn it around.
Johnson elaborates on why Intel is in such a strong position:
"They have received more money from the CHIPS Act than anyone else out there, so they are in a really strong position building out their facilities all over the country, particularly in Columbus, Ohio... They are clearly pushing ahead really fast... that is good for the foundry business... The foundry business ultimately is going to be very difficult to do, but they're pushing ahead at really having cutting-edge foundry services and as you mentioned, in the angstrom levels at the real cutting-edge, which we haven't had in this country for many, many years."

As an lnvesting enthusiast, I often wonder how top level investors are able to become millionaires off investing. . I’ve been sitting on over $545K equity from a home sale and I’m not sure where to go from here, is it a good time to buy into stocks or do I wait for another opportunity?.

well as you know bigger risk, bigger results, but such impeccable high-value trades are often carried out by pros.

People dismiss the importance of advisors until they are burned by their own emotions. I remember a couple of summers ago, following my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to assist my business stay alive, so I looked for qualified consultants and came across someone with the highest qualifications. She has helped me raise my reserve from $275k to $850k, despite inflation.

I really don't like making such recommendations, because everybody's situation is unique. But there are many freelance advisors you could check out. We have been working with Michele Katherine Singh, and she's really, really good. If she meets your discretion, then you could go ahead with her. I endorse her

Thanks for sharing. I curiously searched for her full name and her website popped up after scrolling a bit. I looked through her credentials and did my due diligence before contacting her. Once again many thanks

Recently bought some recommended stocks and now they are just penny stocks. There seems to be more negative portfolios in the last 3rd half of 2023 with markets tumbling, soaring inflation, and banks going out of business. My concern is how can the rapid interest-rate hike be of favor to a value investor, or is it better avoiding stocks for a while?

Just ''buy the dip'' man. In the long term it will payoff. High interest rates usually mean lower stock prices, however investors should be cautious of the bull run, its best you connect with a well-qualified adviser to meet your growth goals and avoid blunder

The truth is that this is really not as difficult as many people presume it to be. It requires a certain level of diligence, no doubt, which is something ordinary investors lack, and so a financial advisor often comes in very handy. My friend just pulled in more than $84k last month alone from his investment with his advisor. That is how people are able to make such huge profits in the market

ANGELA LYNN SCHILLING' is her name. She is regarded as a genius in her area and works for Empower Financial Services. She’s quite known in her field, look-her up.

Government giving the CHIPS Act funds to Intel is like throwing pearls to swine. Intel has for decades not shown any initiative to become anything else but a low cost PC chip maker. About 30 years ago they developed a parallel processing machine learning chip (ETANN), but failing to understand the future they shelfed that development. With the CHIPS Act funds Intel should at least replace the top management that has failed to renew the company.

Nvidia products are overpriced, not everyone needs a $24K GPU, Intel products are very close in performance to Nvidia's and AMD. agreed, It will take a year or two for INTEL to turn around and the CHIP act is a blessing for Intel, Uncle Sam got this!!

Intel foundry is way behind of TSMC in terms of process technology, yield, volume, etc. It's like differences of major and minor leagues.

Intel hasn’t been competitive since the 90s. They fill a role in tech but to anyone that thinks Intel or AMD can compete with Nvidia is tomfoolery

But NVIDIA and AMD didn't create their own chips, they buy from TSMC and Samsung, in a possible war and invasion of Taiwan or resuming Corea war, Intel must to catch up TSMC to guarantee a stable semiconductors supply
