Very killer sounds! Seems to really thrive in the acidic realm. I’m definitely looking forward to hearing this in some different contexts while I await my tracking info. 🎉🎉🎉
Would love to see a deep dive into this! Thanks for posting. But I feel the sweet spot of the SH-101 has been the beautiful simplistic tones it produces when combined with some gentle reverb sheen - melodies with the filter closed, or Roygbiv-esque bass lines. Over the past 4 decades I've frequently been guilty of saying "that's an SH-101? No way a consumer battery-powered $500 VCO can sound like that." (and I've owned several). I'm eager to hear where this new modulation "vastness" and FM/sync possibilities can take this exciting instrument.
As lovely as I expected. Sounds so great. Makes me think I should get a little rack just for one of these Metropolix, and Sealegs and treat it like a semi modular.
Clearly I don’t understand mod x and y. I thought initially it was two lfos and couldn’t see how you change the speed. Are they synced to the oscillators?
Defo more capable without needing patching (for example you can make the second VCO audible without a cable) - I’ll try and cover the differences in my demo!
amazing as always ... is it me , or the self oscillation of the filter takes place higher in the course of the fader than for the Atlantis? i have an Atlantis and past 40% in BP mode it's already too much for those acid lines. On the vids i've seen of the atlantix so far, it seems the scaling of the the resonance is different (better) . Can someone confirm this ? thx
